Collingwood have had Thomas, Ball, Jolly and Beams out for long periods of the year. Much bigger outs than our midfield group imo. I think what has seen them do ok is their depth players. While not significantly better than ours, Bucks has been able to alter the game plan so it works.

Burns came out and said they believe the forward press is still the way to go but it's been shown up time and time again. With our injuries we cant stick with the same game plan, our coaching group is so incredibly slow to react, it's infuriating how slow Woosh is to react

IMO The Collingwood system helps by having a reserves team that play the same style as the league team and when the fringe players get promoted they know their roles well .These fringe/depth players are usually promoted on form so their confidence is high . Buckley`s big move plan B is too put Reid fwd ala Hunter style ...

WCE will also benefit with a reserves team next year and Woosha would be well aware of the importance of keeping all the squad playing together at the one club so I believe Woosha will sign for another 2 yrs .

There's a go, Woosh to coach the WAFL Eagles team.

Heard on the news last week that Worsfold was on 1.2 m a year, the highest paid coach in the country. Anybody think that hes worth that amount?

I think regardless of whether he wants to coach next year or not the club has to do due diligence and see what options are available in the market for 1.2 m a year. At the end of the day the club is always bigger than the individual.

thats not rue mate...Nisbett rang Woosh in Broome ta advise him of what the board was going to do...and Woosh endorsed their actions...as if Woosh didnt have input...seriously!

Ben was selfish...outstanding on field...but selfish. I hope he recovers.

bzzzt. Incorrect. The board made the decision. The decision was finalised and then Woosha was told. If he disagreed the board would have said tough luck.

Throw everything at a guy who has no passion to coach, and has said that no amounts of money will give him the passion to coach ?
He has said that his mind may change, so do our best to change it.

Passion is an intangible, effort and work ethic are not. The way I read his last pronouncement was that he is happy at the moment and had no passion to coach, but at a guess the caveat being given the current offers.

The right club, the right list and the right price might be enough. Can you remember how upfront and honest Hird was, or Thompson, or Malthouse before they got their respective coaching gigs?
