Heard rumor that Woosha will be making a statement about coaching at presser this week. May of received some good news on the home front which has tipped his decision in staying.
Not Ideal timing coming off a home loss, something happening behind close doors that players are aware of , as theres been heaps of media talk from players in last few weeks.

Considering the complete lack of transparency and honesty that surrounds coaching appointments, from every level, candidates to club, I wouldn't write off Roos given the right offer from the right club.

However I do think he has no interest in coaching Melbourne.

For what it's worth, we do have a good list. We have a backline and forward line most coaches fap over. It's just the midfield which is diabolically ugly.

We're shit, plain and simple. From the top to the bottom we rot and its not pretty. If we continue to just accept mediocre we will end up what Freo was and we only have the admin to blame for it. As fans we have probably become too accustomed to success but failure I am not willing to accept without a fight, Woosh knows he done and dusted for ideas and this group just aren't playing for him anymore which is so obvious now.

Stand aside gracefully and give Burns the reigns till the end of the season and put all the oldies on notice.

Because we're not bottom 4 and with that midfield we should be. Also is it me or are we getting a free pass here on the Bay and also in the media ? I can't understand how we are not being slammed from being flag favourites to shit.

I had trouble defending that same argument a month ago with a docker workmate, after Cox, Glass and Kennedy I run out of reliable quality players who are there week in and out to list. I would normally add Waters and Kerr to our "elite" playing list but they hardly play anymore anyway. Masten, Priddis, Shuey, Gaff and Scooter are really second raters desperately in need of someone like an Ablett to step up and learn from.

I agree but i detect a fair bit of prima donna with some of our players, particularly Cox. Whilst I think Cox maybe be playing with an injury, watching him play this year fills in the gaps as to why he wasn't considered for captaincy.

I do however detect some resentment in players like A Selwood and Water continually getting games and constantly turning it over. This is resentment towards the coach rather than the individual players.

I disagree.

We have done some poor recruiting in recent years but trade Priddis a few years back and trade in another midfielder would have helped. Should have played Masten in the middle from the start.

We are not elite by any means but our midfield should perform better. Tapping down to flat footed Priddis (and kerr to lesser degree) more often than not is a poor tactic. Our midfield set ups and structures are really really ordinary.

mate....so true....Butler, Schofield, A Selwood, Waters, Coxy, Smith.....are useless turnover kings!!!! They give me the screaming shits. Butler cost us a goal against Melb, and almost cost us a goal against the Saints through girls blouse indecision.

How was Schofield against Sydney, how many stupid decisions can a guy make and keep getting selected!!
