I guess we have different expectations of a guy who is (and I agree with you) our best midfielder by a long straight. Singling out the years he was fit, where are the club champion finishes? where are the AA nominations? where is the consistency that you want from your best midfielder?

Do you actually know that Kerr's body is shot? I am assuming that its generally fine (for a 30yr old) as I have not heard anything from the club suggesting otherwise?
Not answering the majority of your questions, but...

Do you actually believe anything that comes out of our club? It was not until yesterday that Nic Nat was fine and was dealing with a minor back niggle.

Forget about what the club says, look at how Kerr has played on field this year. He is completely shot. I know he has a contract till the end of next year, but this should be his swansong year. Let him retire with dignity.

I love Kerr to bits, but he's body is telling him to give it away.

Seriously, unless the club tell you aren't capable of seeing for yourself?

FFS, he was always going to be an old 30 given the way he has played since he was a kid. He has a degenerative knee issue and he struggles to come up by mid week....

He has struggled to stay fit which hurts his consistency but he's not the first elite footballer who performs best when it matters but struggles to get excited about mid winter games v Melbourne. They are the games we can enjoy Priddis.... :)

Kerr at his peak was Top 3 in the brownlow in 3 consecutive years. Those 3 years coincided with the best 3 year stretch our club has enjoyed since 92-94.... he's been more hit & miss since but he has still contributed more to meaningful performances than any other mid and has still been our only elite mid across that period.

It's hilarious how these judgements are made. Kerr has been shit since 2007 based on him being our best mid but not as consistently as he did the 3 years before...

Priddis has been absolutely consistently ordinary across the same period.

On the same day the club sledges the former and lauds the latter ...

And one wonders why we are 11th ..

I wouldn't mind a clear out at the end of this year, if Kerr's body really is shot then he most certainly should retire with dignity. Would hate to see him suffer an Embley/A.Selwood like fate. We really should make allot of tough calls on other battle weary bodies also.

I never said I couldn't see for myself, I asked if you actually knew or if you were hypothesizing?

@Karl6pr karl, what do you know about supposed announcement by Woosha on CH-7 tonight re his future?

Just seen this on twitter...surely he would not make an announcement regarding his future on the news.

if hes gonna do that then its most likely hes re-signed

If he had decided to leave you would expect a club media conference, not an announcement of the news. If it is announced on the news I'd expect he has decided to stay on.

Yep, the more I think of this the more I think he is staying. The news is just a strange place to announce anything other then staying. Still don't know why there can't be an official club announcement before the news. Seems amateur haha

I imagine the club is getting some coin for announcing it on Channel 7 first.

A decision one way or another would be great for the playing group. Nothing worse than an unsettled coach, has a knock on effect throughout the group which hasn't helped us this year.

If he stays, I'll back him to the hilt. If he goes, it will be a sad but justified farewell.

People are misinterpreting that tweet, it's referring to what Woosh said on 7 last night, not that he is to announce on 7 tonight.

It's just poorly worded, should say: Woosha told@7newsperth that he has made a decision on his coaching future and will discuss with the club b4 making his announcement.
