Nahh mate, just acknowledging a truly successful guy.....most people never achieve what Woosh has, and there are reasons for that.

Attitude:)....a positive one.

There's a realistic attitude that can focus on positives and there's a fake, warm fuzzy, positive based on nothing airy fairy positivity ....

You seem to confuse the former for the latter at times.

Woosh has been successful in his chosen field and has arguably outperformed his own skillset. Which is to say he has got the best out of himself. On game day or in developing a game plan do I have him ahead of half the current coaches in the league? No. At building a list with an absolute eye on what's required to win flags do I have him ahead of guys like Bomber or Longmire? No.

He's a good coach. A great leader. There is a difference.

Ebert's last year with the Eagles was a good one. He showed signs of taking his game to the next level which he has clearly done with Port. His disposal has improved at Port, which i feel is mainly due to confidence. Anybody that watches a Port game will know this. Will play 200 games and be a top 4-5 BF finisher in a side that should play finals this season.

I wonder if Bomber Thompson, who seems to be on the outer at Essendon, might be interested in getting out of the Melbourne fishbowl post-ASADA-fallout and come to West Coast instead?

meh

ebery fails under pressure for port and reverts to poor disposal and poor decisions. good kid but not what we need and not in our best 22.

Plenty of players look good in poor side and in easy wins - look at the half time in our game against port - on merit we are a 10 goal better side.

remember ebert failed big time in finals

Ebert has been Ports most consistent player. Ask their fans. He has stood up under pressure. See as recently as the last quarter last week. He would be comfortably in our best 22 at this point and, as at Port, an obvious choice for next captain.

The inability of people on this board to understand football is at times staggering.

Your other comments are dumb. On merit Port are ahead of us on the ladder and they beat us. Everything else is just fantasy.

Woosh cocked up on Ebert by not applying the same standards to others and by not playing him in the role he most excelled in. The latter is cos he backed Matt. It's 95% on Woosh that Ebert is at Port. And we'd be a better side with him in it.

Ebert was a turnover king. .

if tom swift did not decide to become a doctor hed still be on our list and was also known as a turnover king.

and havent you checked our team lately. it is the turnover team of the league with a wide range of turnover stars starring

Matt "Helicopter" Priddis

Matt "Hope for the best" Rosa

Andrew "Cant kick to save my life" Embley

Adam "Oops I did it again" Selwood

Ash "The fringe is in my eye! MY EYE!" Smith

Beau "Im made of plastic" Waters

With recurring appearances from

Eric "**** SOMEONES ONTO ME" McKenzie (albeit only on one incident in the Swans Game)

Sam "Shit its time" Butler

Will "Run oh shit too late" Schofield

Mitch "Punch the ball anywhere! ANYWHERE!" Brown

Patrick "my kicks go as high as my handballs" McGinnity

Disclaimer

This is tongue in cheek. I'm just trying to demonstrate to WCETRUTH (who is another version of GOEAGLES and dhjfgjdhfjdfgdgfdgf must be related) that if he wants to criticise someone like ebert and think our team is squeaky clean from turnover kings.

thats a decent amount of players above to show this.

one premiership in twelve years. underachievavement at its finest.

youre the new breed of mediocrity that is brewing at west coast. richmond have had it for 30 years. we are not them and never will be.

as for successful he was given a solid crop prior to commencing and his rebuilds have not been entirely successful.

we bleed success and im not gonna wait for another 5-10 years if not more for a premiership due to a coach and the board not making a move for success. fixing the injury issues, trading for new players, changing the game plans and NOT PLAYING FAVOURITES not to mention doing proper research and taking bigger risks on the drafting side not vanilla softcocks.

Heard from a source within the club woosha has told the players he will NOT coach on next year. Expect his announcement within the next 24 hours. Paul Roos has turned us down as well. No I will not reveal my source, so if you don't believe me fair enough, just telling you what I heard.

Disappointing if Roo's has turned us down... if this is the case im warming to the idea of Suma as the coach.

Not doubting you have a source but would be most unusual to tell the players much before an official announcement I.e immediately before. Players leak, they have friends who post stuff on social media... oh wait ;)

I hope you're right. At the break he was gone. Lately there has been wavering .... I hope he makes the right call.

Hope you're right. We need an end to the speculation one way or the other, and that's the right call for Woosh to make in my view.

I have thought of that...but would the current assistants at our club be happy to follow a guy that has had one year as an assistant?

I suspect there'd be a fair few of them following Woosha out the door if he were to leave.

Personally I'd only be keeping Teague and let the new guy build a team.

Interesting, unsurprising and necessary.

I think we've used Woosha to the last drop and a bit beyond. Will be the fitting namesake for the club champion award.

I would only really get rid of Burns as our midfield isn't flourishing under him.

We also need to bring in some stoppage experts in too and long with some skills coaches.

Important to remember with turnovers, and something I've noticed to my frustratio this year, that they can often be as much the fault of the potato at the receiving end as the potato at the delivery end.
