What does "by his own admission" mean?

And is this correct?

Well it says by his own determination not admission which I take to mean that he has/will decide not to coach next year

Unless we completely fall of a cliff this year in terms of results I think it's fair to say its worsfolds decision if he goes on as the club would extend his contract now if he asked them to

sorry for intruding but i wanted to see if i can get confirmation of a rumor from a source with long connections to the eagles hierarchy

is it true that john is going through a divorce and is looking for a new start and wants out of WA?

Heard today that Woosha's marriage has gone sour. Could explain the lack of enthusiasm as he's distracted elsewhere. :(

.

Woosha wouldn't coach anywhere else though.

so theres a bit of smoke. i got told by my source that he's been offered a very decent deal at melbourne

will be very interesting to see how it all pans out

There would be a huge uproar imo if he did do that because of the shape he would've left the club in. If he did leave for Melbourne, it may appear from an outsiders view that he could be trying to jeopardize the Eagles by not playing the best side (Things like dropping players who are performing as in Hutchings for players like Adam Selwood) and letting the side get thumped with his gameplan (no plan b etc) and not addressing our midfield issues (saying that we're not too slow (WTF?) and not trying to rectify our problems).

why would he want to do that? if he was leaving, which i dont think he has made up his mind yet based on what ive heard, its in his interests to get them as high up the ladder as possible

based on what ive seen this has massive shades of bomber thompson in his last year at geelong. just doesnt really seem to be fussed, plus i think he's more worried about stuff off field

I am now of the opinion John has more or less intimated to the players with his coaching lately that unless you can perform then he isn't going to work his butt off making the changes come match day so lift or get smashed. Its a round about way of saying "I can only do so much from the coaches box" and really he is right but sadly coaches and teams all now know this.

What are you asking exactly? Why would he want to do what? I'm just telling you how it is from an Eagles supporter.

Sometimes I wonder if being a former captain of the club skews Woosha's ability to be an effective head coach outside of game day. Does he make the hard calls? If he was so publicly adamant with regards to Lynchy's role in the team the past couple of seasons, why is he so seemingly soft towards ASelwood?

His personal life is nobody's business.
But if it is affecting his job as Eagles coach then he needs to move away from it and concentrate on it.

not having a go. just i dont see why he would "be trying to jeopardize the Eagles by not playing the best side"

"it may appear from an outsiders view that he could be trying to jeopardize the Eagles by not playing the best side"

We all know Johnny boy loves the club, he's our Eagle. We love Woosha back, but there's something not right from within the club at the moment.

Not saying anything about Woosha but I would have thought that someone going through a divorce would desire to stay as close to their kids as possible....

It seems common that high profile players/coaches who's contracts expire at the end of the season have performance issues during their last season. Cloke last season, Thomas (although injury affected), Franklin, Worsfold this season.

Great to see Woosha looking better this week and with a smile on his face. Perhaps he was merely unwell with a virus or something last week as his colour looked a lot better today. Love you Woosha :hearts:

Glad with the win but I don't think this win "saves" Worsfold.

We are a far better talent laden group than St Kilda. We should not have been in that position at all through the whole game.

Troubling times.
