Worsfold created a team to rely on these players.

Haha, has he now? Didn't realise we relied on Adam Selwood, Embley and Waters, but alright. Especially given Waters has missed a huge chunk of the season. Butler was fairly good tonight too.

If he was better/smarter he would've traded/drafted/developed better players than them

Ahh okay. Well that sounds simple enough. I suppose Worsfold is also responsible for:

- Priddis dropping off this season.
- Kerr unable to get match fit.
- Defenders regularly going to ground.
- Large injury list
- Players fumbling at every opportunity
- Sheppard being an inadequate replacement for injured stars

We better get rid of him quick!!

All of those players played in 2011 and 2012 and we seemed to do alright. How do you explain that?

Eagles will be top 4 easily next year without Worsfold and his 06 lovers

Bookmarked. :thumbsu:

I don't know if this comes down to woosha or the mc but surely Tunbridge is not an appropriate selection as a sub. Why you would sub on a big guy for one of your runners when you have the momentum like we did is beyond me. Surely they hadn't planned on swapping him for someone like Sheppard from the outset.

It was actually Rowan Jones grab in the center against two swans which lead to Chicks spoil > pass to Hunter > goal that won us the flag in '06.

Not only this but using the sub halfway through the 4th quarter is a waste!

Personally I thought Sheppard was starting to get involved and doing some good things in that 3rd quarter. Schofield should have been subbed out. He has been nothing but rubbish this whole season.

Yeah I agree. I thought Sheppard really started to try and use his pace to take the game on in the second half. He's still too weak to break through tackles but at least he wasn't plodding along flatfooted. I would of definitely kept him on.

Wish Woosha would of gave Tunbridge more time to make an impact. Does he play midfield often in the WAFL or just mostly forward? Looks a great size if he could play inside mid.

I like this forum as Im a mad & passionate West Coast fan and only lately decided to have an input, I dont like insults or personal attacks as its childish and its just not me,
so if what i say sounds a little off the mark, just go easy on me or else I'll just piss off.
Mad and passionate West Coast supporter? Yeah, you just described Alfy, though Alfy was probably a bit more of each.

I couldn't believe they didn't sub Schoefield. I have had so much love for him the last two seasons but this year he has been rubbish. He should be at the level whereby if he misses games due to injury he should slot back in. Not to mention he is a shithouse forward and should have been subbed for Tunbridge who is described as a forward/mid.

If he is gone this year he will not leave during the season and if the board do want him gone they will let him coach it out for the year.

You can tell the poor guy is frustrated as he has his plan and it is just not getting together because of injuries. Having so many players out in a game plan that requires all his players 100% fit means its not always going to work the way he wants it and from the last 2 weeks the players are definitely committed to him.

If we do get another coach we need a coach not from the current coach at the club as we need some fresh ideas and i think we we need an experienced coach as we sill have a very talent team that's young and old and can still challenge next year or the year after. This isn't the end of 2008 when we had a lot of aging stars and had to pretty much re-build.

Really who cares now ? the season is done and dusted and its rebuild time as this last 3 years never brought the fruit we all thought it would. Move on.

Season isn't looking great but it's still not over. Carlton (v Sydney) and Port (v Collingwood) are both likely to lose this weekend and they are the two teams we are competing with for 8th spot. So in essence our loss may not put us any further behind those two teams than we were before this round - we did however miss an opportunity to improve our position.

It's hard to see which games they'll come from but win 6 of our last 9 and we're still a chance of finals, albeit a slim one.

I heard a rumour at work today that Woosha and his wife have split up. Is that true, if it is could explain how the Eagles are going.

Bad luck last night.
What is this.

Rumour has been around for a while and is pretty strong.
Yep, rumour has been around for a while. I remind everyone that if you choose to publish rumours that is your go, you are the publisher of said information. Basically, don't expect BF to provide a shield for you...

You cannot harm me by bf account s like a shield of steel

Enough of the bullshi*injury excuses!
Every team has injuries,so dont blame it on injuries .( although they dont help)

Our current list is good enough ! We just make stupid errors every game, the MC make stupid decisions everygame, game day tatics are shi* eveygame, Veterans look tired
, its a combination of all these factors but what kills us most every game is-

The fast break after weve kicked a point ( I feel like im taking crazy pills because its so obvious!!)
Its happens time after time , after time, after time ...frankly Im effing tired of it!

Surley the coach can DEMAND, when a point is kicked you just MAN THE F UP when they win the ball!
Because we miss easy goals, and kick so many points, we just GUARD EFFing space!
This Tatic worked 2 years ago when everyteams kicking was 40-50%

but this years good teams hit TARGETS 90% of the time, its a quick kick & mark to a loose player,They PLAY ON & Take us on after the mark straight down the guts and BANG they have it in there forward half in 10 seconds while were still catching our breaths!

Woosha has the list, he has the support staff, hes just lost the nerve to make quick decisions !
It looks like hes just going through the motions,so Thanks Woosha , but have a rest and enjoy your next phase without footy next year.
C'mon 2014

Ken oath, the man has his flaws but last night's coaching performance was pretty sound IMO, given the personnel we had out. Schofield as a third-tall up front worked well and freed up Lecca/Darling in the forward 50. JK up the ground was good again, for the same reason.

The reason we lost had nothing to do with our gameplan or tactics and everything to do with our ball movement, which is distinct from the execution of our gameplan - for the second week running we nearly won every key category without winning the game. That speaks more to a lack of polish and finesse than anything else.

Treat me like an idiot here, but why would a shield be needed? Sure it's not great news (if true), but it's not a rumour of him doing anything wrong.

I do get the whole "it's none of our business" aspect, but that's just a respect and politness thing.

heck oath bro heck oath.

Can't anyone else see that woosha isn't interested any more?

Unless he openly comes out and says "I want to coach the eagles in 2014 and beyond" i say we let the poor bloke go.

This is strange to me, he seems to be just the same way he has for the last 10 years. Maybe I'm missing something...

Looks sooky
Seems to offer even less information then previous years
Looks exhausted and disinterested
Doesn't go off in the coaches box anymore, just sits there with a blank face all game
Never gives the team a spray when they are playing pathetic anymore
Refuses to say he would like to coach the eagles next year despite being offered the job....
Plays A.Selwood and Embley ;)

None of that rings bells for you?

The weight loss makes him look exhausted. Of the rest, other than the refusing to say he'd like to continue next year, it's just what he's been doing for years, including playing Selwood and Embley.
