Back page of the West is Beau Waters and co arguing to retain Woosha.

Of course they are, because they wouldnt get a game when they were out of form as much as they do which is half of our problem..the other half is gameplan..and recruiting..so basically what we need is three halves to make a whole, then we're set. :D

also, i seriously can't believe we've already promised to offer woosh another contract if he wants it.

i know he's west coast's favourite son and all... but this year's been an uncategorical disaster. with the players we've got, and the expectations placed on this team, this year was by far the most disappointing i've ever experienced. i can look past some failures if we're a young rebuilding side. but the building blocks are in place, we were meant to be in "premiership mode".

Sounds like you want to sack him as punishment, rather than because he's not up to the job. He's had bad years/starts before and then recovered, and was rightfully spared ('04, '08, '10).

If your footy career depended on your old coach holding his job, what do you think they would be doing to facilitate that, BLOODY BEG HIM TO STAY!

In my view, its ime for the old warriors to retire ,Woosha included.

Hard to judge Woosh on this year considering he hasn't had a full strength team for a single round.

Granted we have played like crap in a number of games but we've had no cohesion whatsoever.

If you we make finals I'll change my mind, but at the moment he needs to go.

Yeah! Just to make finals would be a pretty huge effort,
If woosha stays on that means we were tanking successfully.

Woosha = gone (of his own choosing). Roos all but a done deal. Very good sources.

Why the **** would we want Roos?

Can someone please explain why we would? His reputation has just kept growing as an amazing coach the longer he has been away from it.

The grass might be greener, but it dries out just as fast.

Not sure I'd call it punishment, but definitely a response to a very disappointing performance across the board this year. The players don't look motivated, they don't look in form, our game plan looks outdated and exploitable and we have no plan B come game day. These a coaches problems.

'04, and '08-10 I can look past. We had a number of key players leave the club and the team overall was young, developing and on the rebuild. 2013, we have a team that was expected to be a top 4 threat and that the coach himself said was in "premiership mode" for the next few years. Yeah we've had some injury troubles, but what club hasn't and we got by with worse last year.

I couldn't give a shit if you believe it or not Keyser, I very rarely post on here and I'm telling you this is happening, his son is going to study media over here and he has bought a house, make of that what you will. I think Roos is a very good get personally, will get us playing a hard defensive brand, will demand 2-way running and has shown his knowledge of the game and credentials

Why all the secrecy about it then on the part of the club then? The only reason for it would be to keep face with sponsors and the like, else there would be no 'operational' reason to hide the fact Woosha is in fact stepping down...

You need to understand we have a lot of 'reliable source' claims on this board so forgive us if a wee bit skeptical.

It is always difficult to know how good people's sources are over an anonymous internet forum and my default position now is to treat such claims with scepticism - a position developed over the years by reading supposedly solid information from good sources that turns out to be absolute bollocks.

I don't know you anymore than you know me and since you are an infrequent poster it is impossible to gauge from your history if you are likely to be legitimate - there are a handful of posters on this board who can rightfully claim to have some inside knowledge and their track record means I do trust much of what they say (even then they get some things wrong).

You may very well 100% spot on - but the fact I don't accept you at face value is not meant to be a personal criticism of you just an inherent problem of an internet chat forum where posters will claim inside information for stuff they've made up and no way of verifying if someone like yourself is legitimate

As for the subject of your post - I do get the feeling that Woosh has had enough and may very well decide to step down. Coaxing Paul Roos out of retirement would be a coup for our management as he is a highly regarded coach and if they have been successful it would show a level of proactivity not normally associated with our Board

I hear Nic Nat is out.......sorry wrong rumour page;) But as has been asked before, is Roos that good?? We have seen his under study's go on to be very successful, Longmire, Lyon, does that mean he was a great teacher and leader or he had very good people around him to make him look better? I'm just not sure he will be the quick fix that everyone thinks he will be.
