and accept mediocrity for a while yet. yeh **** that.
I'm not disagreeing, personally I'd be content with another coach. Worsfold has been and always will be a legend of this club and it's hard to imagine footy without him as this clubs coach but I'm not opposed to the idea.... something needs to change. Would a new coach be the answer? Who knows. I just reckon the club wants him to hang around so we might as well get used to it.

Keep reading suggestions that neale daniher might be going to essendon

Not sure if there's any truth to them but maybe it leaves a way to keep worsfold at the club and get a new coach

I do however believe that the time is right to move on. If they decide against that, there better be some serious recruiting in the coaching, recruiting and fitness departments. I will stand behind the decision made by the club and back whoever takes charge.
I like the way you vow to 'stand behind the club's decision' as though someone's going to ask you for a statement.

When that reporter ambushes you and asks for your reaction, you'll look them straight in the eye and tell them you 'stand behind the club's decision'. Wow - that would be amazing. Is it possible to get a boner from the sheer gravitas of someone else's steely-eyed demeanour? Because I think I have one right now. I'm telling you, if you broke ranks and disagreed publicly, it would be really awkward for those in charge. So I'm sure the club will be super appreciative of your solidarity, crucial as it for our credibility in the wider world.

Some might say that your above comments indicate a lack of conviction and an inherently stunted intellect. I mean, you've said you think Worsfold should go but if the club decides otherwise you will automatically change your mind and agree with them. What does it say about all the arguments you've made for him to go that they can be so easily forgotten?

I find your devotion to the cause inspirational but others might say that anyone who abandons a position so quickly - pre-emptively, judging by your post here - deserves contempt.

Dargie, you clog up these forums like no other. I'm a long time Big Footy lurker, and every time I'm scrolling through and see your name pop up, I genuinely sigh. Kind of like that grimace face Woosha pulls when they flash to the box after an opposition player capitalises on an elementary skill error by one of the lads. I agree with a lot of what you say, but you are the ultimate forum douché. You think that because you can construct a well punctuated, grammatically correct post that you are somehow more knowledgeable than others.

As for this actual post: your sarcasm is actually funny, but that's about all I'll give you. However, the whole premise of your post is a joke. Nobody is going to ambush you for your opinion either; this is an internet forum for fans to discuss the club we all support, your words mean as little as any. More-so, does it matter what a 'reporter' garners? There are that many so-called 'journalists', producing that many sensationalist articles, why bother even looking in to it. You must spend so much time picking through flaws from poster Give it a rest.

Lastly, a shake-up of the football department, a list clean out and Worsfold remaining coach seems like a plausible option. As does a replacement coach, and a shake-up of the football department. Anyway, I'd better get my statement re: West Coast's head coach together in case Hutchy or Caro come knocking on my door.

I think getting a new coach will screw things up. 2014 will turn into 2000 and 2015 will turn into 2001. New coach doesn't always mean instant wins. Woosha deserves more time.

With the talent on our list (Naitanui, Kennedy, Darling, Mckenzie) it's hard to imagine they would be any worse then our current coach.

I mean, why don't we just go and get the lowest ever score at home and the MCG in our 25 year history.

I did see him talking to Adrian Anderson a few weeks ago. Maybe he was getting a low down on what is going on at Essendon from someone with strong AFL connections.

Insert Nicnat, Shuey, Hurn, LeCras, Schofield, Kerr, Wellingham, Waters for close to a full season and our side looks much better. Woosh has plenty to answer for this year as far as effort and game day coaching goes but I'm sure if we had close to a full squad out there we would have been in a much better position. I'm not really in Woosha corner but I think he can have one last crack and see what happens next year. It seams like Roos' will go to Melbourne so really if we get rid of Woosh, who is out there that's better than him??

Why don't fans like you get it????
Top 4 teams still win when they have injuries?
Can you all stop been so dellussional and blame our injuries for this years poor result.
Our season has been bad because of Poor recruiting, Poor game plan , Poor game day tatics
ulitimately Woosha should take responsibility and WALK , Its time we we looked else where or there will be more of the same.Voss should be approached, hes worth a shot.

Sorry to intrude but I work at sport and rec where there are some well connected people...rumour going round that voss was having preliminary chat regarding the head coach position :0

Voss will only be an assistant at WCE. Either that or coach of Peel Thunder

Please, tell me more oh learned one:confused:
Lets take out say 7 of the best 22 from the top 4

Hawks: Franklin, Roughead, Rioli, Hodge, Mitchell, Sewell & Lewis. Now I'm sure some of you could pick a few better players from the Hawks but let's stick with that for now.

Cats: Selwood, Johnson, Bartel, Taylor, Enright, Pods & Porkins. Granted the cats probably have the depth to cover for a fair few injuries, which is where our recruiting has lacked. But if you looked through each week of the players who were playing WAFL, a lot of our back-ups were injured too, or coming off big injuries. Poor management, maybe.

Freo: Barlow, Fyfe, Mundy, Johnson, Ballantyne, Walters & Macpharlin. Close to who they were missing last week and look what happened.

Swans: Goodes, McVeigh, Hannerbery, Jack, Kennedy, Richards & LRT, again you could probably pick a few better but for now I can't be f**ked going through their list to choose who is the best players right now, those are some I can think of at the moment.

You take those players out of those teams for extended periods of time, they will struggle. Freo had the softest draw known to man, and the Swans has been pretty good considering they won the flag last year.

I wasn't completly blaming injuries, but you can't say it didn't play a part in our slide. We have had 2 players play every game. Naitanui, Shannon Hurn, Beau Waters, Matt Rosa, Daniel Kerr and Sharrod Wellingham each missed 10 games or more, and then there is Shuey and scooter who missed around 4 or 5. Our lack of effort has been a bigger factor than injuries in most games, which maybe is Woosh, or maybe the players beleived the pre season hype and got ahead of themselves, who knows, but to just say "you fans who blame injuries are idiots" is wrong, because it has had a pretty big effect on the side this year.

^ Exactly

Every club gets injuries. Anybody saying "stop blaming woosh! It's not his fault we've had injuries" is a potato.

Never said, don't blame woosh, he has a fair bit to answer for, but you can't say injuries to key players played no part in our poor season.
