Thoughts on Michael Voss to take over? he still wants to coach and having someone from OUTSIDE the club. ALSO, Lions misses out on Paul Roos, Worsfold is also a premiership coach & much cheaper than Roos ...

Do not want Voss. Doubt Woosha will coach anywhere else.

Has Roos committed to the Dees yet?? Is the deal already done? Maybe wwe can nab him first!!!

Time to reminisce!!!

I'll never forget his second game in charge...2002 vs Collingwood.

We went down by one point & some smartarse Collingwood fan waved a scarf in his face on his way down to the field. John turned and baulked a punch in the direction of the guy, who then absolutely shat himself!! Good times...Cheers Woosh

Out: Club Champion Award

The West's online story says that he started doing player reviews, struggled for motivation and realised that he didn't want the job any longer.

If that's the case I'd doubt that any decision on his successor has been made. You'd hope the board would have a real hard look at all the candidates rather than just saying "Well we'll just get his 2IC to take over, easy".

That would piss me off.

Just came to pay my respects. Loved watching him play the game back in the day when the Worsfold, McKenna, Jacovitch half back line was the best in the game. Never forget his shirtfront on Brereton.
Been a good coach who knew when it was time to go. Superb career and it will take a mighty career to peg him back as the Eagles greatest ever over the journey.

So he starts the player reviews, then realises we have a team full of spuds, and bails. Why did it take him so long to see that the list is full of holes.

Thanks for 11 wonderful years, Woosha and the three premierships. Two as a player and one as a coach.

You will be missed at the Blue and Gold next season and beyond. Thanks for the memories.
