People believe that there are many who could well be better.
OK. Of those many, tell me who you endorse as being an improvement on Worsfold.

Would you view Sumich as an improvement on Worsfold? How about someone like Dean Laidley?

Why are you so reluctant to single out anyone and say that you think they'd be an improvement on Worsfold?

You told everyone that Worsfold should go. Now tell us who you want to replace him.

Scroll through previous pages and i have.

I will nominate Peter Sumich.

Has the rub of the past, has now got the experience and a view to a game plan which is simple, effective and hard to reproduce. Sumich was our midfield coach and in his time our midfield was much more effective, Burns is part of the problem. The entire coaching team needs to go. If we can get a Voss, or a Ratten as senior assistants I think we would have the nucleus for some fresh yet proven systems on game day.

Sounds like Sumich and Burns are the front-runners. Not that reports are definitive.

Plenty of first-time coaches have done a pretty good job in recent years - Chris Scott, John Longmire, Ken Hinkley, Damien Hardwick, Brenton Sanderson, even Brendan McCartney.

But, all things being equal, I have to admit that I would be happier with a coach who has been through it all before.

If "refreshment" is the objective, maybe we can appoint one of those moist, lemon-scented towelettes you get at KFC.

Fairly certain the AFL have offered the Towelettes a position at Melbourne with Roos. :(

Can anybody tell me what Neale Daniher does?

Would this role be suitable for Woosha? I would've liked to have seen him stay at the club in some capacity.

Daniher is staying, or at least he has indicated as much. His role could change under a new coach.

I know. Not what I asked though.

Football Operations Manager I think was his title.

In any case, I don't think Worsfold is suited to any kind of backseat role. His strengths seem to be as a motivator, as opposed to a tactician or manager. With limited interaction with the players his strengths are somewhat nullified.

Someone like Neil Craig or Dean Laidley would be the complete opposite. Neither were great with their respective playing groups but both have great footballing minds.

I'd be interested in having Laidley at the club in some capacity. Not as coach though.

Differing opinions in that one. I think he's primed for a backseat type of role. His strengths seem to be in an overall management capacity, rather than being a particularly brilliant tactician or motivator. He's very book smart and uses his resources well. I would've thought that's exactly what you need for someone to be a "Football Operations Manager", but then I'm not entirelly sure what that role involves (hence the question).

And I'm not for a moment suggesting he should be moved straight into that role right now. Bloody hell people jump to conclusions here.
