We underachieved under Worsfold, yes we won a flag (by a point) and missed out on one by 4 points. Apart from that we never really came close to winning another one did we, only 3 times (2005, 2006, 2011) we advanced to a preliminary final. For a massive club like ours I think we should have achieved a lot more.

I would have liked to hear from Worsfold personally about his departure, I think the way he just left without fronting the media to explain his departure was a bit of a slap in the face to the club and it's fans.

Did anyone see his interview on the website?

He said he is still around the club finishing of reviews and helping out the players that are still to play in WAFL GF....You can tell he really loves the club.

I think it's great that he's doing this. Guys like Cripps, Lycett, and Morton no doubt really appreciate the fact he's still around for them.

He could have just walked out the day he called it quits and it would have been totally acceptable, but hanging around for the WAFL players and the reviews is just great.

he kept it watertight though, nothing leaked out in the interview..it comes across that he's just burnt out,or not having the passion..and having a holiday with his family (does that scotch the earlier rumour he broke up?)..anyway he's beyond doubt a club legend and dedicated servant of the club..also recommends sumich (as does Lyons)and burns for the coaching job!

He did seem to be a bit more effusive in his praise for Sumich than he was for Burns.

There's no rumour that he broke up; been separated for a fair bit ... "family" can include a bloke and his kids ....

Woosh jumped before he was pushed ...

We would have made the grand final in 2007 if we weren't crippled by injuries. We were clearly the second best team that year.

And 2012 we would have made the prelims if the same didn't happen.

Let's not get greedy.

Interesting in the part 2 of the interview he talks like he is still working there! saying we need to do this and we need to do that ect. He says that Tunbridge and Lycett were the young players he thinks have a good future at the club. Legend of the club.

Technically he is still working there (or he was at the time of the vids being shot).

He's stayed on to perform the end of year reviews etc.

Love Woosha! Absolute warrior and my hope is that he ends up back in the club in some capacity. Still think he can contribute in more ways than one to the club and players.

Good to see he is helping out before he leaves...most would leave and that would have been understandable.

Exactly. You couldn't blame him for saying "I'm out" and just not "finishing" his job, but to stay around for the guys in the WAFL and the player reviews, that just has to be a good thing for a player. The guy after 12 years is willing to stay on a few weeks more just to try and help the players be the best they can even after he's gone. Cripps and Lycett would be pretty happy that he's willing to do that.

I'm not sure that it is good either for him or the club that he is still there. There needs to be a clean break. Don't want a Kevin Rudd like situation where the ghost of Worsfold continues to hang around and interferes with the authority of the new coach. I think he should go, disappear into the background like Julia Gillard.

Highly doubt that because i can guarantee he will be back coaching for the 2015 season after his year off. Maybe we might see him back in the media? He would only be sticking around to finish what he started with the reviews.
