I remember when we could do science challenges and kids without engineer parents would actually have to work out how to do it without the internet.

Had the egg drop challenge, paper plane challenge, launching a ping pong ball. You just can't do it anymore.

One kid clearly had his engineer dad make him a air canon to launch the ping pong ball. From memory I went with a catapalt, I wasn't aware of the trebuchet at that time.

I like the analysis they do now. Get to see how your word faired, how you narrowed down the options. I had the 3rd best word technically when I got the answer last round.

I usually try to choose words that bring about a lot of options but that can really mess you up.
I've been in a situation where I've got 5 different words with only one letter to get and you luck out.

I try to change it up each round but I'll use go to words with patterns like:

Train, Spore, Clear, Flour, Slack, Clout

I used to use the same few words but now I just pick random ones for the most part.

However, if I do go back to old favourites, raise, cloud, group, house, rapes all in the mix.

I had a couple of balsa wood boat kits - sold as the full kit until you open them and it says, "now go buy X, Y & Z to piece together your model"

For some obscure reason I got tagged about this, no idea why. I would not have one clue what the game is or how to play it but it sounds like a worthwhile charity.

It's a fantasy game. There's a sim program that spits out an Aussie Rules match based on two teamsheets. All you need to do is say you're interested in that thread and you'll be included in the team sheet. You're playing regulars from the Sweet FA board, such as myself and Wosh, to show you what it's all about (chat, banter, engagement and vicariously living out our sporting dreams) while we hopefully raise some solid funds for charity.

Sign up to play in the charity match 👍🏻 Though you don’t have to play or sign up to donate, it is first and foremost a fundraiser for the Sikh Volunteers so any donations are very welcome.
