I thought of HONKY and HOOKY (my third word was POUCH so I knew the H had to be in the beginning). I didn't think they would be the answer.... And then HOBBY came into my head and I went for it

Are we firing up a thread for this? Would get a tonne of traction surely.

Very fun. Need to discuss what's permitted and not permitted when playing this game haha.

Obviously can't look up "player who played at x and y" but can we, for example, google "Collingwood playing list 2005" to help jog our memories?

Imho it's essential to take note of and USE the letters you've already found, in every line. I think that's where you went wrong.

I found the first two letters then tried to knock out letters because I didn't see any real obvious words to make with those 2 letters. Didn't find a new letter on line 4 and unlocked the one letter on the 5th line, which didn't help too much.

Last line I guessed 'hoppy'. Christ.

Its statistically better to try 5 new letters when you have a lot of possible words. But you need to use the most likely letters

Simply letters available. If i add 3 new letters vs 5 that are in the pool of possible letters i have a greater chance of finding new ones

Goodness. I’d never have thought of doing that

. Might just stick to my system, which is thinking of words Wordle favours. They are quite basic on the whole.
