Does anyone use 'hard mode' or just play using the standard settings

wasn’t aware there was a hard mode until you mentioned it and I took a look

Not going to try as in serious competition with the sibling but happy to hear what changes if you do switch to that mode

I never knew there was a hard mode either. I pretty much use all revealed letters in my future guesses so in reality I am playing in hard mode.

Same here - playing that way by default, even though there's times where I've wanted to try 5 completely different letters to try & get a better idea, but then I think I may just fluke the right word if I use the hints I've already got

I've done it a couple of times from memory. But its rare I do it.

Yeah I think I've only once thrown out a word that doesn't have already hinted letters just to see if I can pick up a scent
