That's as best as I can do after numerous completions - made it with 2 turns left. I found a starting trio of HOUSE PARTY CLIMB is a close to optimum opening with all vowels plus Y and common consonants except N. Dangerously addictive dammit.

My best one yet - nailed a word on attempt 3 and one every turn after that to finish with 3 spare turns left. That's enough for me, only improvement left is to nail a word with only your second (or first!) guess and then be flawless from there.

Had tried a similar strategy, but ended up using a 4th starting word to cover basically everything aside from QVJVXZ - only issue is that you have to pretty much nail every guess from 5 onwards and can only afford to miss once.

To be fair, it was my own mistake
i went 'chode' before 'choke', for the life of me couldn't think of another word other than using the 'd' (s and r were already off the table) after 'chode' surprisingly wasn't the word, i was like o shit its choke, of course
