Hi everyone. Mrs EB put me on to this. I have no idea what I'm doing. Only just found out you can post result like this.
I admit I'm addicted and look forward to daily hit which hasn't been enough so doing the wordle archive slowly. Up to 17. I did some other wordle's for awhile at first but once I found NY Times that was it for me. I love it and it feels official so if you crack it, that's satisfying.
Will look through thread for tips etc.

It’s addictive, I’m afraid. Try to use up as many letters as possible in the first couple of goes. Sometimes you have luck, sometimes it’s frustrating, especially if there’s a range of choices for a letter. I usually pick the wrong one :(

I noticed an article on the News.com.au about Canberra being the world's best at Wordle. Understandable, we are great. And modest.:)

Canberra crowned the world’s best at Wordle

It's a shame the rest of Australia is letting us down because as a nation we are only the fourth best.

So the data comes from tweeted wordle answers like on here..I think it may be it only proves that Canberrians boast and tweet more than anywhere else.... :p
(Considering how many pollies live there it makes sense :sneaky: ;))

But the letter grid shows you what is left doesn't it? Am I missing something? If it is in yellow it is in wrong place and still might have multiples right?

I don’t know if that is an attempt at humour and you know that only five pollies live in Canberra, or you are an idiot and believe that all pollies live in Canberra.:)

Yeah but the yellow letters can be a bit difficult to place in context without scribbling a few things down. For example you might have a d that can logically only go at the end of the word or say the first letter but couldn't really go anywhere else. You effectively have two potential word options as if the 'd' was green in each and that can be easier to scribble out the alternatives

Yeah but there are also a mountain of political staffers who are potentially the lowest of the low in society and (not coincidentally) the most likely to tweet.

Always use pen and paper for Octordle.

Most of the “important ones” would also reside in their state, work in the Electoral offices and only come to Canberra when their bosses are here. There are some Canberrans but not as many as people think.

My point was trying to explain why such a large number from Canberra like to tweet their results in comparison worlwide. It was intended as a slight jab at your healthy ego re getting word in 3 go's as opposed to your usual...what? 1 or 2?
But you took it somewhere else ...delberately or otherwise...
It's all a bit of fun. (Or so I thought... :D :sneaky: :think:)
