The New York Times confirms it has removed a number of answers from Wordle, including the British spelling of ‘fibre’.

I quit words with friends in a rage when i was about 100 points behind and had the word chink on a triple letter triple word score with my last few letters. Played it thinking this is the greatest comeback ever. Was devastated when not accepted. Its a normal word!! Phones were thrown.
