Do it at a non profit organisation for example the Australian Red Cross, RSPCA or Wildlife Victoria. Especially with what's just happened with the bushfires they will be good choices to see what happens in these organisations. Wildlife Victoria would be a good choice to see how they handle animals after an injury and what processes they go through.
Don't bother working in a proper job, do something fun. I worked with a lawyer, it was ok. The lunch breaks were nice, and the 10:30am starts as well haha.
My tip: ring up SEN or another radio broadcaster, and ask them. Do something fun - don't do a job where they'll get you to do filing for 6 years and take out the trash etc.
Work with your family - sure way to do FA work and get $5 a day for it.
I did work experience at a stockbroker. Waste of time, sit around doing nothing, maybe the odd photocopy or shredding a bunch of documents. Do it as a greenskeeper or something like that.
