I can’t find it explicitly stated in the rules that a dead arsonist prevents the ignition (though logic suggests that without headless there is nobody to operate the zippo)

Interesting, I've definitely played where the arsonist is eliminated and therefore those doused survive. But also in those games the arsonist has to pick when they 'ignite'. If Cadsky is taking it out of the arsonist's hands by the auto second day, maybe THB's fate is already sealed.

1. A doused player who is lynched or killed before igniting will be announced as being doused upon their death
2. If the Arsonist is lynched or killed before the doused player, the doused will still ignite (they are still doused)

Yeah so if you're a seer your chance of being evil has gone from 66.6% to 50% if you're not already in a PM.
