What is the status of the South Africa vs India game at MCG? Should cross 50,000 I reckon.
Only Limited Availability for Category C left, and Standing Room. Sounds like it'll be a huge crowd.

I suppose these reflect how darn small some of New Zealand's cities and grounds are.

Be interesting to see what the Eden Park games get. What do the Black Caps draw normally (I know they're not as popular as our team)?
The cities aren't big here. Auckland is nearly 1.5m , next biggest is Christchurch with about 400k
Cities like Dunedin (University oval), Hamilton(Seddon park) and Nelson(Saxton Oval) would only have 100k

We like the space ! :D[/QUOTE]

And all really spread out as well. Very much like Tasmania.

Yep it's sold out. More tickets will go on sale closer to the date though. Like this Friday's NZ v England game which was previously sold out, now there are a good number of tickets available again. God knows why they do this, as people will just assume it's already sold out and not bother looking for tickets again.
They don't even send an email to those who have signed up to buy tickets.

Yeah that's what happened to me today. I thought Bangladesh vs Afghanistan was sold out when I checked earlier in the week and then I turn on the tv this afternoon and there's still a few seats and apparently there was more put on sale. Strange system.

The Aus v Eng game, i tried to get tickets 4 weeks before the game and all bar category D was 'Sold Out' so i held off buying them as they were top level towars the back. 2 weeks later look again and only the 'Family' section was sold out. Ended up getting category 3 seats lower level southern stand Row Y. Were fantastic seats. Couldnt work out why then someone mentioned they wee probably corporate/sponsor tickets that were released. However that is alot of seats that seemed to have opened up.

Laughed at my brother as well who got some for christmas and they were top of southern stand, he was a bit miffed as well.

Plenty of expats in Australia
I was aware of a high number of the usual South Africans, English, Irish, Kiwi's and Indians, but not Zimbo's, nice to see.

South Africa v India has now sold out! Could be more tickets to be released, but standing room has already been released and sold out too so who knows. Looking like it's going to be a bigger crowd than Australia v England

I guess when the most expensive tickets are $60 instead of $150, that'll happen.

As expected, good crowd at the Caketin :thumbsu:

Expecting capacity 20k for Pakistan vs Windies at Christchurch, and while Aust vs Banglas may be sold out, how many show up is well...who knows.

10,972 in Canberra.
Ridiculously good crowd. Bangladesh v Afghanistan pulling 10,000+ would have been hard to believe 10 years ago.

I am heading back over to Melbourne for Bangladesh v Sri Lanka- should be a good crowd- I am expecting 20k Lankan fans at least.

It's fantastic to see the crowds come out in force. First the Asian Cup, now the World Cup.

When you consider previous World Cups where matches not involving the home team are often played in front of three men and a dog, it's great to see.

India vs West Indies cheapest tickets were all taken, but a fair amount of pricey ones were left, I'll say 14-16k (being a Friday a fair few could rock up after work)
I was half thinking about going up to Perth for it but it looks to be sold out now.

Crowds have been terrific. Great to see full houses with atmosphere for neutral games (regardless of how small the venue is) - will be a spectacular atmosphere at the MCG tomorrow as well. I know it's early days but very proud of the fact that our (and NZ) cricketing communities are giving the support this event deserves.

Its a shame the last allocation of tickets didn't go on sale until the day before the game. It made it impossible to oragnise people, and time off work. It might have been 13k if the last set of tickets had gone on sale just a few days earlier. The available allocations had been sold out for a couple of weeks.
