New Zealand will win because it's their destiny, it would be the true fairytale story of the world cup and the making of a hollywood movie. They are in form and ready to unleash hell for all of the sheep jokes that certain Australian's fired at them over the years.

Furthermore New Zealand would have easily accounted for Australia in the pool match (if not for a lapse in concentration). They still won it and have the wood over them.

New Zealand are the better team. Australia have home ground advantage, but I don't think the advantage is big enough to overcome NZ's overall strength.

I'm actually a bit conflicted on this. I'd love to see NZ win, I'd love to see Vettori win, and I think NZ winning would be great for world cricket (and would hopefully win we start taking them seriously and play them more often).

On the other hand, when it actually come down to it I think I'm not going to be able to do anything but go for Australia.

I agree, as long as India doesn't win it we are all happy.

I think if we get mccullum cheaply then its going to be an extremely one sided affair, they need him while we rely on no one in particular. Also southee may become pretty easy to hit if the ball isn't swinging which is more then likely in melbourne, which severely weakens their attack.

Having said that the Kiwi's have a buzz about them this world cup, rising to every hurdle.

New Zealand finished top of the table so common sense should get this match moved to Auckland

Australia should win. Almost won the match from 9/105 and I don't think that will happen again.

McCullum is just throwing his bat around early and Williamson has lost form. I don't think the Kiwi batting lineup has really been tested.

NZ. People are acting like McCullum/Williamson/Anderson/Guptil will have trouble clearing the MCG fence.. They don't just do it on tiny NZ grounds, they've been doing it everywhere.

Will be close though, Boult is the exact kind of bowler we normally struggle against.

They are the most balanced team and haven't been beaten. Our batting line-up is a glass cannon, and we are far too reliant on Starc in particular with the ball.
