Australia are still super s**t!!

Good one Arnie

It’s not always Arnie’s fault, it’s easy to point the finger always at him but finger pointing should also be directed at the FFA and our development programs the last ten years which haven’t produced any world class attackers.

Draw between Jordan and Kuwait means we could be well clear by Tuesday night, so that’s a good thing.

Positives were Soutter, Mooy and Maclaren taking some of his chances. Mabil provided a spark when introduced. Goodwin was terrible, and Behich looks very rusty but no challenger to his spot at LB.

Need Arzani and Boyle back in the squad for better opposition, but might as well keep getting time into fringe players in these games.

I only watched the second half, but from what I saw, even when Mooy is out on the park, Australia will struggle to unlock teams that park the bus (and Maclaren alluded to that in his post-match remarks). It seems like the current Socceroos just lack that technical wizardry that will find the right pass at the right time. Being the fittest team out on the park can only get you so far when a team is prepared to put 8 or 9 bodies in front of the goalkeeper for 90 minutes.

Agree on giving youth/new players a chance in these rather pointless games so begs the question what the hell Milligan is doing there?!

Won't be there for the next WC. Find someone new before the tougher games pop up. He's slow as now, blood the youth...

We still need some leadership Milligan is the best man for that atm.

Irvine is the new Kruse, can't for the life of me figure out how he's getting a gig in front of multiple other players.
