PC World of Warcraft - Including Classic

I learnt from classic, it's not the same.

The great memories come from the unknown and exploration from 2004/05 with friends.

Now it's all a race and about min/max gear

That's what got me about Classic. It was a nice trip down memory lane but the sense of wonder wasn't there. BC won't be any different. It was my favourite expansion but sweats will be just in it to power through the content.

I originally played horde in vanilla (and pretty much through every xpac) so going through as alliance in classic was pretty fun as even though the environments were the same, having different quest hubs and quests themselves made it feel different enough to feel like it was new to me. Even just the Ony flight path (theramore vs thunder bluff) being different made it feel different enough

I've played so much that this doesn't work for me any more. I switched from Horde to Alliance late WotLK and remained there until Firelands in Cataclysm which rejuvenated the game for me a bit.

All I want to do is raid BC which are still the best raids to date IMO. I just can't be bothered with all the other stuff 😕

I'm keen on BC because it's the only xpac I didn't play when it was current, I took a couple of years off between the end of vanilla and WotLK although have leveled through all of the BC content a number of times which I don't think differs as drastically between H & A as some of the original zones

No queues what so ever on Arugal last night. Caught up with an old guild mate that I played in 3 guilds with across two expansions which was cool. His goal is restro druid main, mine is prot warrior. We both vowed to be super casual as we're not in our 20s anymore. So if we both stick it out that's the core of a dungeon group sorted. Still haven't found a guild, most are sweats and meta slaves at the moment, already trying to organise raid teams when the game has been live for 5 minutes. I think I'll wait and see at 70.

Anyone on Arugal horde feel free to add

Joined a group with some rando to do an escort quest and we were still questing together 2.5 hours later and just about finished off Hellfire Peninsula. That's the sort of thing that most other multiplayer games lack and what always made WoW such a great social game at it's peak. Something that was killed off in the game with things like dungeon finder and cross realm support.

Can't believe the amount of sweats that are already 70 though. They just dungeon spammed. How boring. BC levelling is still a slog like Classic but I'm enjoying it again, especially as the world is populated and alive with people everywhere like when it first came out.

Have only been ganked once so far. Some dick rogue got me when I was low on health and eating. So nothing has changed lol.

I was whinging in general about being camped by a loser druid in Nagrand. Of all people it was the GM of my classic guild that came to the rescue. I really love traditional WoW before connected realms and LFG when you got to know people on your server.

Also, Shatt the other night was pumping just like the old days.

Tanking 5 mans in TBC Classic has made me absolutely tilted. Haven't run any in over a week and have just spent my time farming. Noticing a massive lack of tanks in the LFG channel too so I wonder how many others are feeling the same. Most dps are playing like retail. The majority of trash pulls have casters so I do the right thing and LOS pull yet dps just start blasting and it's my fault they get agro and die. Or they start AoE'ing too early and again it's my fault they get agro and die. I won't even taunt mobs from a warlock that seeds on pull anymore. Then there is this stupid "spell cleave" fad that has carried over from vanilla classic. Sure, if you want to be heroes and AoE everything then be my guest, but don't expect me to tank the mobs. Then I have to wait between pulls for them to get their mana back because they burn it all in a single pull. Had some mage in Shattered Halls last week with improved blizzard who was just AoE'ing every pack. As a prot warrior I'm not able to hold agro on that s**t, so he says I should just hamstring everything for him without understanding I can't hamstring in defensive stance and if I switch stances I'll lose all my rage and won't be able to tank anything anyway. Then he just started making all the pulls himself and wondered why I couldn't pick anything up. First time I've rage quit a dungeon in a very long time. No wonder the majority of tanks in LFG are only offering their services for a gold payment.

Then you've also got the "LF2M H [insert dungeon] tank and heals. Nether reserved". Really? You don't have a tank or a healer and you want to reserve s**t, especially crucial crafting components this early in the expansion? Please.
