Worst afl player you've seen (and why)

If you've watched him once in your life and not just follow the bandwagon, you'll know he's actually a good player. His only weakness is his kicking and that's improved tenfold for him in the SANFL this year.

As for the worst player I've ever seen, Nathan van Berlo comes to mind a bit. There were some Melbourne players from 07-12 that could take this award out easily.

He is a good pack crasher, his marking is ok.

But in a team where 2 rucks are out, Westhoff playing alot of time in the backline as Trengove Rucks, Schulz being hurt with a back injury in the first half of the season, Winguard missing a few games too, you'd have to wonder why he hasn't been called up to work in tandem with Dixon? From memory last season he was given a run in the backline too, where he basically spoiled and kick the ball long up the field.

Hell, i remember him lining up round 1 last year against freo, direct opponent was Dawson and it was like watching one of those b grade 70's kungfu movies and both Dawson and Butcher were using the drunken style technique. Butcher managed a goal on Dawson but every contest was tangle of arms.

Sorry Liam, but you're the worst 50 game player that I have seen. Played one good game against Collingwood and so many more complete shockers.

Yeah, have to agree, but he was never recruited for his AFL talent. Even if you listened carefully to Sheedy talking him up at the time he was careful what he said. He took the big bucks in return for a misbegotten plan to get the club publicity among Neanderthal league fans. He wanted out early, which shows integrity, club made him fulfil his contract. Everyone's better off with him at fullback for the Wallabies. He never got the 360 degree awareness thing.

He was taken as a league marquee player to try and draw league fans then ended up switching to union (quite successfully) afterwards. Still better suited to league though - as he doesn't get as much space/time to run at the try line in union, but when he does he can hurt you pretty badly. Rather more of a honeybadger type player in the Wallabies over Izzy tbh.

Hunt was similar - started league (played a bit of union before GC, however), moved to Aussie rules, then back in to union
