Skyhooks gimmicky?

I don't care either way, but some of their riffs are A-Grade.
Give some of their tracks a punchier production and a quality vocalist (not that Shirley wasn't, but may be a bit dated now) and you may just have a hit album on your hands. Themes may have been gimmicky but in fairness, there was some good music amidst those suburban themes.
