Worst Case Scenario: Pav gets injured

I think they need to play the second tall (Gumby/Apeness) to start the game with the plan that the sub comes on for that position in the 3rd quarter depending on how it's working.

Pav has 10 days to get over a knock to the head. Why wouldnt he play against Geelong
The nay sayers on here seriously do your head in:mad:
Most likely unsure of where the AFL is at with introducing a rule on concussion automatically requiring a player to sit out the next game ala NFL. It has been a widely discussed topic, and if you look at a few recent cases (Cox, Shaw), both players missed subsequent games. Shaw might be a special case because there was apparently bleeding on the brain and it's quite possible Cox has just been omitted, but it helps to muddy the waters about whether the rule has been brought in yet.

Just had a look at the AFL guidelines and it doesnt give a specific timeline to return that I could see but that it was up to the medical staff to determine
According to the radio on the way home Pav was subbed as a precaution so surely the Thurs to Sat 10 day rest will be enough

You would think so, but be prepared for that decision to be taken away from the medical staff at some stage in the future.

The writing is on the wall for the Fremantle footy club, we need to get games into our youngsters, next year ASASP.
Or we need free agency, rookie, some mature age players, to help out our ageing Talls. I think father time is coming for
two absolute champions of our club, I remember Dean Kemp having to retire early due to concussion, and there are several
other champions in this basket.
Im hoping Elvis just needs to find form, would hate to see him play too long and then do a Glass. Resting our champions more
next year may just be enough to keep that premiership window open.

Geelong have a very good forward line -Hawkins leading the way and their two other younger talls. Us without Pav look mismatched as far as forward line goes. But gee the guy is near the end of his career and has a child. I'd prefer him to sit out next week.

Just you wait for my next thread about Fyfe.....
