Anyone else hear Richie drop the Shit bomb today? (when talking about the green pitch and the captain walked past it to the outfield and then say oh shit we're playing there

Mark Taylor - I don't know what's happened, either he or I have changed, I don't mind him. A nice mix of layman/expert speak imo. Whereas before I thought he was a bit vanilla as a commentator

Michael Slater - I posted on another thread, he has been a good commentator, he's got energy. But that was the case when working for C4 in England and ABC Grandstand. I think being a part of C9 has stuffed him up a bit and he would continue to be good as part of a different attitude/channel/commentary team.

Richie Benaud, Bill Lawry - I'm actually bored of them now.

Mark Nicholas - His enthusiasm for cricket is great. The way he expresses himself, like a douche, as a result of his enthusiasm is a weakness.

Ian Chappell - Even if a batsmen, bowler, captain or team did everything in a acceptable, correct or sensible manner, he would still find something to nit pick at! Just stfu Chappelli!

Tony Greig - I would've sworn, during one of the tests against NZ, he, on behalf of all the elder commentators, took credit for the exciting cricket shown during the games. Paraphrasing "We have been pointing out the good/bad of cricket for so long in the interests of the game...These newer generation, younger captains (Clarke and Taylor) have been listening to this growing up, therefore, it's a part of their nature to set attacking fields, which produces great cricket..." What a w***er!

Ian Healy's my nomination though. On top of all the poo which, to the unaware, could be seen as expert commentary. Ed Cowan's lbw, whether or not you agree, was fair enough, but would this d******* let go? Embarrassing, it's people like him who contribute to making people from other countries/cultures think of Australians as backward, unwashed, bogan neanderthals!

Nicholas is just a flat out douche, he wasn't this transparently sanctimonious when he only came during the ashes was he? Wish Holding was one of the International commentators used instead, or one of the Indian blokes. (even Ganguly!)

Was I the only one who cringed when they were talking about cattle ranches and Tony Greig said "I went to many in Africa, back in the good old days."

as i suspected, i think bill gets a bit fed up with the other commentators and how they crap on (re: pigeon stuff). is always changing the subject back to the cricket.

Ya know, I don't really mind any of them, but if I had to choose a 'worst', it'd be Creiggy, coz he doesn't seem that interested. I reckon he puts it on, but doesn't really give a stuff. I could be wrong.

I like how it's relaxed a lot since they introduced the '3-at-once' setup

Benaud - Classic, the best.. Doesn't overdue it.

Lawry - Gets a bit stupid sometimes, says some dumbarse stuff but thats Bill.

Nicholas - One of the gayest voices I've ever heard, yet knows his stuff.. Hes alright.

Grieg - Absolute w***er, has no idea...

Slater - Decent, just don't really find him interesting.

Taylor - Thinks hes God's gift to cricket.. Done with him.

Chappell - Used to like you.. But now your like that old boy who just rambles shit...

Healy - Needs a bullet. Simple as that.
