More fun than picking best team ever. Some of the guys were just useless, some were worse than useless, some had all the talent in the world and couldn't be bothered, and the rest... had everything but luck.

I found it tough to go a completely negative way... it's a lot easier to remember the good players. Trawling back through our playing lists, there were some guys i've never even heard of, but i had to go with the ones that just plain disappointed me the most.

First man to ever influence the draft. Wasn't worth the time but we didn't know; Carey pips him, just. He'd be an emergency for sure.

Evan Hewitt at CHB I love it!! Ricky O & Daniel Schell also very nice inclusions.

But one of the most useless players out there is Keating he was that git that wore the helmet right? and some how ended up on Richmonds list??

I've gone for two teams. Crows players I love(d) and Crows players I hate(d). Now, I am aware plenty in the Loved team had pretty forgettable careers and plenty in the Hated team have fared well, won premierships, B&F's, captained the club... but I don't care.

How can you possibly have a worst Crows team ever without including Danny Hughes?

At the time of their formation, the Crows were allowed to take 10 uncontracted players from the other AFL clubs. Hughes was one of these, taken from Melbourne (originally from Port Adelaide before he crossed the border) if my memory serves me correctly.

By the time he arrived at Adelaide he was a spent force, his best years well and truly behind him. Like most of the uncontracted players, he was just using the Crows to boost his retirement funds.

He played 11 games for the Crows, a defender from memory. Unless my memory is faulty, he was BOG for the opposition in 9 of those games.

For a traitorous dog, you've nailed it. Both Tregenza and Anderson played some really good footy for Adelaide, particularly Trigger, not a great kick but got lots of the ball and broke lines.

Clay Sampson was a bit better than the others named as well, but well done.

I would take issue with your inclusion of several players above:

- IMO Tregenza & Anderson were good
- Carey would almost make my AFC best team since 1991 (and only based on his performances with us)
- Hodges i believe was a much better player with us than perceived
- McCartney was ok i thought

Of the top of my head i would say that Bartlett, Adam Richardson, Keating & Herbert are notable omissions. I'll have to go research thru the list of eligible players before i do my team.

How many bad ruckmen have we had over the years, we could fill half a team with them. Keating doesn’t count as he played in a Premiership to elevate himself above the likes of Fernee who played nearly a whole game against Saint Kilda for one possession and one hit out from memory.
Smith (soft) and Hughes (thug) used to really annoy me and I have included them. Stuart Bown is a good player but didn’t deliver for us.
That first post clearly included some good players such as McCartney Hodges Anderson and Tregenza and was not very well thought out.
