I must be the odd person out..

I loved Matrix, American Beauty and Moulin Rouge.. seems to be 3 hated ones here. :(

I'm not usually one to bag a movie without seeing it, but I'm going to judge this on the trailers and what everyone else says.

Worst movie I've never seen: Kevin and Perry Go Large.

Perhaps it could be renamed "Kevin and Perry go to the plastic surgeons and makeup artists cos they're forty year olds pretending to be teenagers."

Titanic - for f*ck's sake the ship only took an hour to sink. Why did the movie have to go for a week?

Gladiator - Memo to Russell Crowe : You are not Clint Eastwood. Stop reading your lines like him. As for the guy who played the effeminate emperor character, the most inept acting display I have seen since 70s pr0n.
Fight scenes, my arse! It was a love story, plain and simple, and the fight scenes were crap.

Escape from LA - Their idea of a stunt is Kurt Russell riding a wave so obviously made of cardboard you'd think the Grade 3 kids at Braybrook Primary School had designed and painted it. Absolutely woeful film.

Saving Private Ryan - How about calling it Saving $11.50 and warning people at the ticket office.

Devil's Own - The plot : use two big name stars (Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford) to attract as many people as possible into a cinema, then slowly bore them to death.

Perfect Storm - I still ask myself why this even came into calculations when my ex-g/f and I were picking a movie for the night. We took it in turns sleeping (no joke), after about 15 minutes.

when i think of worst films.. the 2 that easily spring to mind are
Speed 2 and The Avengers ...

Only really watch films on planes these days, but a few from the past I've seen/suffered thru include

BMX Bandits
Houseboat Horror (which I only recall as someone mentioned it on a thread a month or so back)
Romeo + Juliet (utter bollox)
Gladiator
anything with Eddie Murphy, what a dork

looking forward to seeing the new cut of Apocalypse Now coming out, which although a fantasy, is one of my fave films. How that load of bollox Kramer v Kramer beat it as best film of the year must be put down to the birth of the PC movement in 79.

The Godfather Trilogy and Citizen Kane are the worst films I've every had to sit through. Boring as hell, hyped up to the max, and for whatever reason I can't fathom.

...and we have a Loser!!!

I seriously hope you are being sarcastic!

If you don't understand why Citizen Kane is arguably the greatest movie of all time, go to one of its many fansites and realise just how many motion picture innovations that were pioneered. Long takes, camera angles from the floor to create larger than life perspectives, black and white to create nostalgia despite colour being available and that new reel at the start is absolutely awesome!

The story is second to none also. In a time when films were about romance and gush with the odd civil war action, this film put a human face on the complex life of a man who wasn't much more than a complete w*nker. The Rosebud reference culminated in the single best ending to a movie, ever!!!

...and, of course, without Citizen Kane, The Simpsons would be short about 12,000 jokes!

The Godfather is my favourite movie. It is flawless! Each second of the movie carries tension and comletely emmerses you in the mafia world. Boring? At no stage!!

Godfather 2, although a little confusing at times, is near equal to the first. Robert De Niro's performance is phenominal!!

Gofather 3...well it is pretty boring, but don't ever downgrade the above masterpieces based on this one!

Again, you better have been being sarcastic!!!!!
