i think you forgot to mention Andrew Schauble in this group of duds
Cant believe this bloke one a best and fairest

Wow. ****, if all your post are like this one your a complete moron. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you never actually saw Schuabs play.

Nor was Licuria a dud. Sitting on the bench and with a lot of injuries at a young age, didnt have much of a chance as a Swan.

Henry Playfair will be nominated for these sorts of things in the future.

you wouldnt remember them at your age

What about

Gavin Rose
David Strooper
Paul Bryce
Ed Considine
Neil Brunton

And none of these guys were just a couple of games either, they all had extended chances to shine and were hopeless to a major degree.

yeah, but i said that about matthew nicks and copped wagonloads of flak for it
not saying nicks was worst 5, but for a bloke who played almost 150 games ( i think) he made a lot of stupid mistakes and was awful under pressure

Perhaps you should have said most 5 overrated and you could have built your case. These 5 did not play 150 games but by god they were supposed to be part of the main make up of our team in their time.

Do you reckon a few of the blokes who just fronted up one Saturday and were used to make up the numbers back in the suburban VFL might have been quite ordinary?!?

The worst alltime would have to be Mcveigh though. It looks like im not the only one who hates this bloke either. Watching him play live gives you a true indication of how bad he is. Surely its his last year, but would anyone else have him. This guy has the heart of a pea.

thats better dunks, another one who thinks mchack is a dud

Schuable won the best and fairest in his first year here (if I remember correctly), so he wasn't too bad (till he got injured).

For me, it has to be Torture...He's a signing that should get someone at management fired (he was THAT bad). Warfe was extremely ordinary. Micklejohn (spelling?) was up there too.

What about tony malakelis. Another recycled player from the bad days. Would choose any other player mentioned on this thread ahead of McVeigh though.

Bennett was the one who kept the St.Kilda draw in 02 just that by pressuring Wulf into missing the goal. Courageous hero, not useless.

Tony Malakellis

Peter Filandia:eek:

Richard Ambrose

Andrew Bomford

Allan McKellar

Just to submit some other names for the hell of it!!!

For those of you who are real keen you could just look up the records of who they used priority picks on in the late 80's early 90's.

No No No. Jamie Lawson may not be in our best but the little guy worked his ass off and boy he could run.

He was no champion but he has no place been in this thread either.

J.Lawson a complete tragedy for the Sydney Football Club would have developed into a superstar was only a pup when he damaged his leg. Anyone who was a player at the Swans will tell you this.

Totally agree. He could have been anything. He had pace to burn and was a goalkicker. As you said, it was a tragety that his broken leg ended his career.

disagree on warfe, was a very brave and solid defender but he stuffed his shoulder ( i think it was his shoulder) and never got right after that
but he was pretty tough, never shirked a contest
i thought schauble was okay too, another affected by ongoing injuries

mcvague just shts me

Yeah thats fair enough re Lawson. I was actually trying to think of that player from the NT who was playing around the same time, early 90's, had quite a long or unusual name, he might have even been a high draft pick but turned out to be a big disappointment for you guys.

Quite possibly got him confused with Lawson who after thinking about it, i agree wasn't too bad.

Player your thinking of is probably Brian stanislaus.
