So Ross Lyon turning down both Carlton and Essendon because they weren't the right list for him, he just decides to take a "trash" list for the fun if it.
So, you know more about football than Ross Lyon, cool story bro.
Well you're wrong about this whole sentence

Hawks & Roos currently have worst lists but understandable rebuilding.

Both St Kilda & West Coast most concerning as in no man's land.
No man's land, one of the biggest myths in footy. Weren't Richmond recently known as Ninthmond before winning three flags?

You are confusing mid table & no man's land!

Yeah I thought the point was to try and win games but apparently it's better to be s**t.
No, the point is to build a team to threaten for a flag.

We have hit the draft heavily two years in a row including picking up future AA forward Isaac Keeler.
Put your hard earned on for a flag then lol as clearly you list has no holes...

Ahh Saints supporters....

If you're talking about a team that's has complete irrelevance to the AFL then it's the Saints by a mile.

Remember having this discussion last year and I was told by Saints supporters that Crouch, Z Jones, Steele and Gresham could easily match it with the Dees midfield if not better. Or that Cooper Sharman was going to be their Bayley Fritsch.

Looks like nothing has changed, delusion bunch indeed.

Ah Melbourne supporters...

Wins one flag and think they are relevant but will be back of the pack pretty quick.

Good sides beat whoever is on the menu.
Really, it's embarrassing some supporters are using it as an excuse. It may reflect some of the players psyche if that is the case.

Really felt Saints would make finals last year but their second half was appalling. At one point, you guys won 1 game in 6 weeks of footy! Really, you cannot blame that on the fixture. That is simply poor quality at the top level.
Did I say that's why we finish where we did? No. All I was stating is we have had several years of hard draws, where as Geelong constantly get easy draws, although finishing top 4.

Would that not be more evidence that neither is a clear cut number 1 ruck?
No, it would suggest that we need another tall in the forward line and just like pretty much every Hawthorn side of the last 10 years, we'll play two rucks.
Bailey/Hale
McEvoy/Hale
McEvoy/Ceglar
McEvoy/Reeves
Reeves/Lynch
Reeves/Meek

It was a good draft for you but you still botched your first pick. You didn’t spend any high picks on forwards in 2021/22. Therefore 3/4 of 1 in 8 drafts seems like not enough for maybe 1/4 of the squad if mids/rucks need more players than def/fwds.
3/4 of 1 in 8 drafts is fine when you end up with Allen (23), Ryan (26) and Darling, who’s one of our most durable players and should be around for a few more years as mainstays in the team.

It’s more than fine when we’ve got Waterman (24) on the fringes of our b22 and some youth in Jack Williams (19) developing in the WAFL.

The trick is not to blow decent high picks on poor forwards to begin with, which I know has been a big problem for Freo.

Agree with this.
Whole paradigm that no man's land is bad isn't really accurate.
Many teams that are young and rebuilding are just plain shit.

So being young can be over rated because it involves a lot of fantasizing about a players upside when mostly the player never actually reaches it.

It's still easier to launch from mid table than from the bottom.

I love this expectation from Saints fans.
They never blame the list, it’s always the coach.

Now their saviour is back coaching them the pressure should really be on for them to perform.

Not sure why they love Ross so much though.
He’ll toddle back off to a cushy media gig in a few years time after he’s sucked as much coin as he can out of the club.

Wood is depth.
Paton is best 22 over Webster. (in my opinion)
Jones (currently) isn't best 22.
Hopefully Phillipou is best 22 asap.
