Who do you think have the worst list of kids in the AFL? Adelaide for me, by a mile

If you actually knew what you were talking about then this might be a worthwhile thread, but you are just a port troll obsessed with Adelaide therefore your opinion doesnt mean jack

adelaide cows have by far the worst group of youngsters,no rising stars no nothing......
they are going to be a bottom side real quick with all their best players being old...............

Most rising star nominations go on to be your stock standard average player.

Why dont you name your youngsters.Van Berlo the world beater, John Meesen the best ruckman in the competition, Darren Pffeifer, Alan Obst, Brent Reilly.Wow quality all around

Why is Essendon even in this poll? i reckon we have a good list of youngsters NLM Monfries Stanton Johns Watson Nash Bradley Ryder Slattery Lovett to name some. Anyways i reckon Roos have the worst list of kids

With Hawthorn, I rate thier young forwards very highly, not so much their midfield.

That's because our 2 drafted midfielders - you could probably add Birchall (the pick of the 2005 draft) to the list, Ellis and Muston are on ice.

ONce these 3 come into their own, IMO we will have the best list of kids in the league.

With these sort of questions you need to look at where the teams need balance, the Hawks for example already have a good young'ish midfield group - Campbell - 23, Sewell - 22, Mitchell - 22, Hodge - 22, Bailey - 18, Birchall - 18, Young - 19, Bateman - 22 and Lewis - 19.

So with an eye to the next 4-5 years we only really need to change Crawford and Everitt, we only really needed a couple of outside midfielders to compliment this pretty strong list - Ellis and Muston.

In contrast, for a number of years we have had a problems in the defence and attacking KP areas, hence the additions of Dowler, Franklin, Roughead etc. to the list.

Richmond have a sprinkling of talented youngsters all over the ground, I would rate them very close if not better then Melbourne.

Melbourne = Richmond = Carlton
Brisbane

Surely you jest. It's because of those names I voted the Bumbers the worst.
Stanton is solid and Monfries is a goer and has a big heart, and Watson is gutsy (if lacking in the skills dept.) but the rest on that list are either rubbish (Winderlich/Nash) or unproven - IE Ryder etc.
Slattery the jury's still out on him.
But basically only two players out of that group are sure to become stars IMO (Stanton and Monfries) - Watson will be solid but he just hasnt' got the skills to become an damaging player.

I've no doubt they have talent, just can't see them beating a midfeild of:

McLean, Jones, Bate, Bartram, Moloney, Johnson, Sylvia. . . that is as physically intimidating a midfield as you will find imo.

especially when you consider that Johnstone, Bruce, Green and Davey will still be around to feed off 'em.

Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Ellis, Muston. Not a bad few either.

Because Monfreis and Stanton are the only ones who have shown they could be anything more than a good player.

That's not an established fact, it's a subjective opinion.

Have you got any factual basis/stats to suggest that Slattery will be a gun player ?

He's beaten Nick Davis, Dal Santo, Davey (smashed him), Didak (not sure why he was ever moved off him) and performed well on Williams.

Stats don't support his claim because thus far he's played in defensive roles, he does use the ball well though and is good around goals. I know that, I've seen him.

Have you got anything to suggest he he won't be a good player?
