Actually you are exactly right. That was the 3rd quarter match-up that, along with a couple of other key changes, swung the game our way.
But too late. We could only claw back 5 goals of their 2nd quarter 7 goal demolition job

By the way, McGough said in an interview I read that he hates playing in the wet and can't understand the "mudlark" tag. He may have been a better pick but we needed weight and toughness to stay close to the Lions.

Your basic point is right, McKee (if fit) would've added weight and calmness (if not catatonia) to a young, easily rattled line-up. We replaced solid triers like Betheras, Steinfort, Molly and Freezer with more skillful runners like Shaw and Cole and the poor kids got skittled.

Well we could've played a 9 man defence, but somehow I don't think it would've got us closer to a win. Someone had to go forward to provide a contest, and he tried, but didn't have to finesse or the delivery to even make an impression.
