I was thinking who does everyone believe or worst regular senior player over the years is??? It would have to be a player that managed to get close to 50 games to be considered.

For me its got to be big Al Nicholson or though a strong case could be put forward for Simon Godfrey:thumbsu:
Ricky Petterd

The two Craig's

Craig Nettelbeck
Craig Smoker

Although, Smoker did have a purple patch in 98' where if my memory serves me well he won us a game against Sydney at the SCG off his own boot.

How was that goal against the Pies when he blind turned a scum player then kicked it from 45 on his left?

Did this actually happen or did I just dream it up?

No that did happen, but it was on his (opposite) right foot.

Prymke and Seccamp were very servicable players, nettlebeck was a goer in the lean years of the mid 90's.

Worst player i wud say wud b luke willams altho he did lpay 50 games i am sure there are other worse players but we didnt see them often enough.

Ross Funk and Ezyra Poyas (altho poyas was a gun at VFL level).

Beat you to it Telko.

:D

Now to just wait for Merc.

:p

The stats speak for themselves!

The Philthy Years = 3 finals

The years AP (After Philth) = 3 shitfests.

A talismanic figure beloved by all.

Honorable Mentions - Steven Pitt, Jace Bode, Donald Cockatoo-Collins, Ross Funcke, Craig Turley, Troy Longmuir, Dean Irving, Chris Heffernan, Wayne Lamb, Hayden Lamaro, David Cockatoo-Collins, Luke Ottens.

The Winners

5 - Scott Chisholm
4 - Luke Williams
3 - Isaac Weetra
2 - Cameron Hunter
1 - Nick Smith

And there's a lot of shonky names from the mid 90's who I frankly just don't remember having played. I'm certainly not across Martin Heppell's 2 game cameo in 1995.

After exhaustive research , my standout nominees are:

Big Al Nicholson Danny Seow Craig Turley Nigel Kol
The Cockatoo-Collins Brothers, David or Donald
The "Prince" Scott Chisholm Lukey Williams

Most Honourable mentions to:

Try these on for size:

Henry Ritterman Franky Giampaolo Vinny Catoggio
Joe and Frank Rugolo Teddy Fidge Stewart Gull
Peter Dilnot David Cordner Glenn Elliot
Wayne Delmenico Paul Goss Wayne "The Moose" Henwood
Glen Swan Cameron "Skinny" Hunter Tommy Kavanagh
Peter Maynard Craig McKellar Shane McSpeerin
Shannon Motlop Barry Norsworthy Trent Ormond-Allen
Barry Ough "Rocket" Rod Owen Nicky Pesch
John & Peter Tossol Terry Wilkins Peter Yeo

And the overall winner is: A "tie" between The Prince and Big Al.
2 medals , each in the shape of a lemon, will be struck in their honour.

Unfortunately for me, writing all these names down has seen me regress back to the point that I need to start up my therapy and anger management sessions again. Bye for now.

You and others clearly never saw Chris Woodman play. It was the late 1970's at the G. Woodman gets a free kick dead in front at the top of the 10 metre goal square. Goes back, tucks his shorts in, a study of concentration as he begins his run-up, and then the moment - kicks.

What happens next ?

To anybody that says a current player is laughable, partly because, they are still playing and they will be more then happy to rub it in your face.

Second, Godfrey, Godfrey BRILLIANT tackler, shit kick granted, but the tackles Defintely make up for his short fall in the kicking. This is worst MFC player, I'm guessing it is talking about skills and nothing else. So to label Godfrey this, is also laughable.

Nicholson again, wasn't a great disposal but did what he need quite a few times, was a tall strong defender at times when we needed him, he was no shanahan granted, but he was still alright.

The worst MFC player that i have seen, needs to not have skills either tackling or kicking, the cockatoo collins boys definitely fits that, they would be the closest in my opinion purely drafted because of a relation.

for the purpose of this i am going to say he kicks it out on the full?

i dunno put us out of our misery

Cameron Hunter, what a gun.

Who could forget his first kick in AFL football being smothered by Gary Ablett of all people on the mark. All we ever heard about Hunter was his courage, but he was 65kg...

OK OK OK - 10 metres out directly in front -

Drum roll

He didn't make the distance.

Granted it was pretty wet, but it still brings a smile to me and my Brother's face all these years on.

If you've ever seen Chris Woodman kick a footy you'd understand how it was possible.
