Hmmm, I feel Sheridan from Freo would be competitive in this discussion, not sure on how often he gets picked though.
Myself and a buddy felt Sheridan getting injured today was a win for Freo.

Honestly he is so shit - can't run, can't kick, can't tackle which he could do in the past, can't win the ball which he also could do in the past.

He does not have 1 strength in his game anymore, yet still gets picked each game.

There has been ongoing discussion for years on the WC board about him, but now I ask other teams fans is he currently the worst player in the AFL regularly getting a game?

If not him then who?
Yes. DING DING DING. We have a winner!

No one actually mentions anyone but Priddis, Mitchell, Kennedy, Shuey and Gaff therefore the general consensus states he's a top 5 player at your club regardless what I think or you think. Whether that's your Facebook fans, the neck beards on Reddit, media people, commentators, people who attend matches regularly or people on here.

Edit sorry missed NN but top 6 still
McGovern?

Daisy flys under the radar now because he dropped the contract clause, but he gets a regular game and doesn't offer much.

Kerridge would be a shoe in for this though, but thankfully doesn't play regularly, but I fear he might if Cripps is done for the year

The Eagles Bigfooty board is in the minority on Priddis. I work with so many West Coast supporters who think the reason they're struggling in the midfield this year is because Priddis isn't spending as much time in the guts.

I mention his lack of speed and defensive capabilites but all you hear in return is that it's not his role 'he's the best extractor in the comp' 'he is a tackling beast' 'he won a brownlow'.

The Eagles board melt when he gets selected but I'm pretty sure there are more Eagles supporters out there that still see him as an A grade gun.

FWIW I agree with the Eagles board, Priddis is a liability now, made all the more sweeter by pairing him with another slow midfielder in Mitchell. The lack of defensive pressure between those two is alarming.

Very happy Priddis got a contract extension. :D

The way Priddis is rated so highly by anyone, let alone media "experts" including past players makes me question whether I actually understand the game at all.

Every time the opposition win the ball and move into space West Coast are a man down when he's on the ground, he makes every other player in the midfield work harder to cover his complete lack of pace and ability to guard space in a zone, and without fail is the slowest player back into defence. Even if his replacement were to get a few less touches, a few less clearances and a few less tackles, surely being able to defend in space, where we got carved up by Port moving the ball yesterday, would be more valuable? Especially at the moment when he's starting in the square next to another old, slow bloke who is superior to him in almost every way.

And we gave him another ******* year, in the middle of the season. Just fabulous list management, I'm sure they were fighting off suitors and wanted to make sure they had him locked in.

Edit: He's still not the worst though, pretty sure Kerridge yesterday would have got a positive review if he walked into the Melbourne coaches room after the game.

I watch the majority of eagles games and I think he is okay? Not the worst in the competition by far. The problem is as others have said is having both him and Mitchell in the same side. Eagles need an explosive type player in the middle and they don't really have that. That would compliment Priddis much the same way Selwood and Dangerfield compliment each other

But he isn't the worst, that's ridiculous. It's just the team doesn't benefit as much from his strengths as they used to, but also haven't worked on his weaknesses.

Not the worst in the AFL.

But he's the worst player in our team at the moment because:

He is taking midfield time away from guys like Sheed.
He is also keeping better players out like Redden
He isn't allowing youth to come through like Partington
Our backline is probably our biggest strength, but they are getting torn to shreds because he has 0 defensive ability on the spread. So others are having to work twice as hard and come end of games we're out of gas.
His disposal by hand has dropped off
He still can't kick
He can only turtle tackle

It's laughable how oppositions players run away from him when he gets the ball to push back into defence and clog up space. He'll get the ball, end up 20 metres in theclearr and either stuff up a handpass and turn it over or kick a 30m drop punt that goes 40m in the air which just gets cut off. Every. *******. Time.

Take a leaf out of Darren Glass' handbook please, we loved you once but it's over. Stop ruining your legacy by selfishly putting your hand up to play when you are no longer capable.
