I remember a game at the mcg against the Bombers where Brett Evans kicked a goal from about 60 out after the half time siren to put us in front. The crowd of around 70k went nuts. One of my favourite Tiger memories. The game ended in a draw I think. Evans was a hard nut and worth his spot. Doesnt belong in this thread. Far from it.

After the club shafted Lambo and themselves by getting 0 for him,
the most important recruit to the tigers back then was Brodders.
We needed a Lambo badly, we got a Lamborghini instead.
All the recruits were pluses, but Brodders was the polish that made us a contender. The end.

Exactly ... Brodders was a gun! And by far our most important and polished player of that time!

brodders was the light in a dark tunnel. bordders was all class, superb disposal and used his lack of pace effectively with good decisions, tough at it body play.

mmm good point, but carltank also picked up a premiership during this time although they were cheating, if you disregard the cap cheating then they had a better 20 years than us imo...

Isn't it strange how a player like Broderick probably wouldn't even get invited to draft camp these days.
We need to get more involved in drafting footballers rather than athletes.
