This probably takes the cake for an Australian sports stadium.

1300SMILES for Townsville Stadium

Townsville’s Dairy Farmers Stadium has a new name, with 1300SMILES taking over the naming rights for at least the next five years.

Wonder if it will ever get so bad that companies will buy the naming rights and then change them to match their current advertising, eg KFC gets Etihad, it becomes "KFC 9 pcs for $9.95 Tuesdays Dome" for 2 months then "KFC Hot & Spicy Dome" then "KFC Finger Lickin' Good Dome"
They already have the KFC Yum! Center in America, but that's just the brand and the parent company (Yum! Restaurants International) putting their names together. "KFC Grilled Chicken Twisters Dome" would beat that!

KFC boy would approve :thumbsu:.

Cazaly's Stadium, up in cairns, not sure weather its a sponsors name but

It's not. Was known as Bundaberg Rum Stadium once.

Graham Cornes thinks the stadium is in Bundaberg as a result

It won't quite be that, but someone may well be running down the Zinger wing looking for a player in the goalsquare at the Hot & Spicy end. Its no worse than the <insert sponors name here> scoreboard on all the radio stations.
They could even sell the off separately, so that at KFC Arena there is a Whopper wing and a Big Mac pocket.

Personally, I never use the sponsored name. I can't keep track whose sponsoring what half the time.

Dicks Hardcourt Stadium (Dick Smith with a hard court Basketball stadium or something)

Dick on Ice (Dick Smith sponsoring Ice House in Melbourne)

That seems to be the path Adelaide Oval is going down. While the ground name itself is protected by legislation, parts of the the ground can have their naming rights flogged off such as the 'Audi Stadium Club'. I wonder when we'll start getting the 'Fruchocs Scoreboard' or the 'Farmers Union Iced Coffee Hill' at Adelaide Oval...

It's criminal that the new tennis/basketball/netball stadium is officially named Margaret Court Arena instead of Margaret Court Court!

The Tigers and Vixens will play all home games (apart from when the Open is on) there from next season. I'm praying for a not-ridiculous sponsorship, if any is to be had. Otherwise, it could be Andrew Gaze Park when it's configured for basketball, and maybe Liz Ellis Court for the netballers?

Some of the Major League Soccer stadiums are very poorly named -

Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.
The StubHub Centre in California.
BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.
Maryland SoccerPlex Stadium in Maryland.
Starfire Sports Complex Stadium in Washington.

I've personally never understood the burning desire to add "Stadium" to the name of every 5,000 capacity rat hole park. They even tried it with Olympic Park Stadium in Melbourne, which was as far from it as anywhere I've ever been!
