For much of the past few weeks, as is the same seemingly every year... Discussion has been rife over the accuracy or the need to revamp awards like the Brownlow, MVP or the Coaches Votes Awards.

With bias coaches, clueless umpires and players who sometimes don't watch much footy involved in the voting , it often leads to criticism of each awards credibility. Is it time the league implements a combined tally of the 3 to declare a unanimous MVP award of sorts to name who's truly considered the 'best' player in the league each year?

If there was an MVP award you couldn't bet on it because it's usually obvious who the best players are.

Brownlow is nice and random, gotta have the odd game where Nicky Daicos gets points for keeping Alexander Neal Bullen busy for a few quarters- it's great for the bookies.

Yup, call in the “Don’t Argue Trophy” for the real best player of the FULL season.

I don’t care how good you are if you don’t participate in finals you aren’t the most valuable player of the season. Premierships are the name of the game.

Some people forget finals exist and it’s part of the season.

Having the Ayers medal rewards a player for their recognised efforts during the finals series. You could argue either way I guess and have reasons for yes and no however the Chas shouldn’t change, as frustrating as it can be at times
