LOL is this thread a joke!?

So much trash talk, geelong_crazy26 you are delusional buddy! You must think every Geelong player should be in the All-Aus team.

Swan is in the top 15 players in the league (this year) and would probably be Geelong's 3rd best player. This thread is a joke.

Lol Byrnes in Coll's best 6! Not even close.

I would have Swan ahead of Ablett at the moment.

Ablett kicks more goals and has less errors, but that's the only advantage he has.

Swan's possessions are more damaging. He has more i50s, goal assists, running bounces, etc. He also kicks more than he handballs, whereas Ablett pads his stats a bit.

Swan also averages only 81% game time.

If you're talking about output in a match, it's Swan. On pure ability, it's Ablett.

A game?

He'd be your freakin captain.

Easily a better player atm than anyone at Geelong, bar possibly Selwood and Chapman.

Shits all over Ablett.
What exactly would Swan add to the team? With his DE% of 70%, he would be our least effective midfielder. He has been in great form lately, but when Ablett, Corey and Bartel are at their best, they are all better players. Considering two of them are carrying an injury, it's understandable that they're not at their best.

The only thing he has over Ablett right now is fitness.

Swan has the most effective disposals in the league (613)

Selwood in 2nd place (542)

Ablett 3rd place (538)

Source: Pro-Stats

Yeah he might sneak into Geelong's midfield :p

Effective disposals don't mean productive disposals.
I could kick 15 meters and hit my target then run and get the hand ball back and handball off to someone else in a 1-2 and then kick 15 meters backwards and hit my target.

Gone nowhere and done nothing productive with the footy but 3-4 "effective disposals" right there.

Not saying this is Swan. Just saying the stat doesn't mean much.

He's leading in score assists and is up there in inside 50s as well.....so he is using it fairly productively.

Although Pro Stats is not a source. It's a terrible site.

Pro-stats is the most unreliable stat site available . . . don't bother with it.

Looking at the Champion Data stats and Swan is the leading assist player in the comp.

I remember there was a thread just like this, only it was whether he could get a game at Hawthorn.

Though, Swan has proven he can really rack the ball in, but does he have what it takes to get a game at Geelong?

How foolish does this comment look now........

Get you head out of your arse mate, Swan owns Corey and Bartel and has been about par with Ablett this year. And even if those guys were better Swan would be getting a game in any other position on the ground. Geez I think I'd even rather have the guy at full-forward than not having him.

Your a clown

Coreys' efficiency is only 0.5% better than swans but swan wins more contested ball, has more goal assists, kicks more goals, has more inside 50's and has LESS CLANGERS than Corey and Bartel but unlike them he often gets tagged.

Judds efficiency is at 69% so he'd be your least effective midfielder.....maybe he'd get a spot in your reserves......

You clearly delusional if you think he is in front of Corey & Bartel.

Kelly is a better kick.

The only place he would be of use is in a dreamteam.

You are an absolute fool if you think that Kelly's is a better kick than Swan. Kelly is an out and out spud, Swan is brownlow favourite...

The 54 people who voted no need to put down the copy of the 07 grand final and pick up one of Collingwood's games this season.

Geelong fans saying Corey is better than Swan are kidding themselves. Swan is 5x the player in every area of the game.

Selwood and Ablett are the only 2 geelong players that you could argue would be above Swan right now.
