I don't think the switch to the midfield, if we make the switch will be very hard at all. He has already played there a bit (against PA he got +30 touches there). It won't be as hard a transition as say turning Didak or Lonie into midfielders or even Johnson who took a while.

It is enough reason that we might need him in a different role in September but if you need more how about we have a lot of HBF’s but not enough impact midfielders? If nothing else, I can’t see the harm is trying these things and it has long frustrated me that MM is reluctant.

Oh, I completely agree - There is definitely that side of it.

However, for mine, Heath just doesn't seem like a natural midfielder, whereas in the backline he does seem a natural.

In the future yes but at the moment his killing it in the back half and saving our arse on many occasions. defiantly in the running for AA this year.

I don't think he's ready to move into the midfield yet, and besides, why move him when he's doing so well down back.

People forget that Heaths still developing, and maybe in a couple of seasons when he's got a couple more pre-seasons under his belt, and his aerobic capacity has increased, then we should try him at the midfield.

I don't think at the moment he would be anywhere near as damaging in the midfield, as he currently is accross half back.
