There is no such thing as 'our Premiership side' at the moment. Stop claiming that there is. We're a young team who want a Premiership in the near future but when people say 'this player will be in our Premiership team' 'this one will not'.

Stop claiming that we've got one (or a few) locked and secured. Other teams have also gone down or route and dropped short.

Fair call Warlpiri, I definitely think our 3-in-a-row earlier this year caused a few people to overassess our side (I know I did!).
And you're right, we won't be a premiership side until we're at the G holding the bloody cup. It breaks my heart to see teams like Bulldogs who have perhaps missed their premiership window (??). I just don't want that to be us in a few years time, I want reward for effort this tilt.

Let's face it we beat no one. Adelaide were struggling, Brisbane are now arguably the worst side in the AFL, Port aren't far behind them and Richmond at the time were the worst team.

The other 2 teams we got close to in Collingwood and the Bulldogs we have had a history of getting close to them. 2007 and 2009 we did get very close to knocking off the Bulldogs and every time we are not rated by Collingwood we seem to get close to them.

My question is have we improved? When I see the Kangas and especially Freo play the way they are playing I wonder why our improvement is so slow considering at the start of the year I thought there was not much difference between us and them.

I think it's about time people rate us on what we are doing and not on what we are going to do. If it turns ugly against the Saints and we lose to Essendon then I think we have not improved.

You're right. Saints this week, well I'll be glad if we just play some consistent footy, not expecting us to win.

But God I want to beat Essendon. SO much.

I understand what you're saying, but I think when we all say; This kid, or this guy will/won't be in our premiership side; its just us being excited and looking to the future, which I have no problem with.

It's normal for fans to look to the future and assess and predict what may/may not be.

But yes, in the literal sense, our team is not a 'premiership' side until we've won on that final day in September....October ???

Are you serious? At the time Brisbane were undefeated at playing great footy, we started their rot. :D

And Port Adelaide had only lost to Brisbane (at home), Geelong and Carlton, having beaten St. Kilda.
