He has been pretty good for us this year and could be important for he next few..
but with recent good form, i reckon his trade value has risen and we might be able to get a late first rounder for him from the coast.
I like tuck and would be sad to see him go especially after his improvement.. but i would be looking to trade him still for more youth.
What would you guys do?? and what do you think Hardwick will do with Tucky???

he would be just the type of player the GC should be securing, mature body , wins the footy and would be a good stop gap whilst youngsters develop...I suspect if we dont offer him a 12mth extension, that's where he might end up and on his current form youd reckon a 1 yr deal should be in the offering

i have to say though that the line we all got used to in the TW days and kept thinking WTF is being hammered home by Damien. When talking usual suspects and where they are at in future plans, its all about wanting in on the ride. Tuck and King are ****ing busting their butts atm. Full credit to them and its no coincidence they actually have a vision to work towards, instead of a directionless arse licking exercise that they were part of under TW. ;)

No way i would get rid of Tuck. I think he has shown Dimma that he deserves his spot on the side and i would offer him a 2 year contract. His experience by then will be just as valuable as Cuz is today to the younger blokes that we are yet to draft.

Like Sante says, McMahon, Thomson and Hislop are pretty much sure to go. And i still think King, Polo, Polak and possibly White will be shown the door due to the need to make room on the list.

I believe Tucky has really has added an important cog to a young developing side. A solid body in the midfield!!!!!! If we look at all the developing sides of the last few years they all have used older guys like hawthorn with vandenberg, melbourne with mcdonald.

He may not be around when we are challenging for a flag but between now and then we still need expeirence devloping the kids

If a team came to us with a very good offer come years end, it would have to be considered. But I'd be very happy for him to stay from what he's shown of late, and he's still one of the hardest players in the comp around the stoppages.

No need to offer him two years. That would be silly. One year contract.
What happens if you offer him two and he does a knee in season one? He's effectively finished and we still have pay him out.
I would be happy for him to stay on. One year contracts for him now though.

that's not going to happen, I reckon sheahan was right in that dimma has realised the merit in some more mature bodies around the contest...with 6 or 7 additions to the list next year, I see a spot for tucky for sure

I agree with pretty much most of the posts here - Tuck deserves to stay. He has improved his game so much, and plus it helps having Tuck around with so many young kids coming up. Keep him for another year.

Yes i would trade him to the gold coast and i would another person in their to that way they may go for it as their bigger bodies.
Also before you start bagging me tuck is not a part of the future so you may as well trade him while you can.In saying this i no he will stay.

His old man played til he was 38 or something...

He has earned the right to wear the jumper... and anyone else who does should be able to keep that right ntil they dont deserve it no more...

probably be tough just giving him a 1 year deal if he finishes top 3 in BF. He deserves a 2 year deal in my opinion. still only 28-29.

Would show everyone if they work hard they can get back in... unless you are Mcmupet

Tough would be if didn't accept a one year deal. Tough luck to him.
We're not a charity case nut. Simply no need at all to give him more than one year.

Gotta feeling that Tuck and for that matter King are realists. They will say where do i sign for a one year contract and then go to work on getting the next one year contract dude...At the end of the day a mans go to know his limitations and when he does he is better off. ;)
