maybe, i would think that you dont flirt with your form and try to run out with as big a win as possible. look, i agree with you in a way, the sting had well and truly gone out of the game, however the tigers of two or three years ago (maybe even last year) would have just given up and you would have been 100+ point winners instead of 42.

I like the fact we performed as bad as WCE, Swans & Pies and yet our team is rubbish and they are just taking the NAB Cup for what it is nothing. Perhaps a little history lesson might help. Last year we belted the Dogs 2 weeks before the season with a near full strength side against an under manned Dogs Round 1 they belted us by 100 so PS form amounts to jack. We also beat the Swans last PS and also got towelled up by them as well in the season proper. The fact remains we had no real structure or stratergy in place yesterday and as annoying as it might be to cop shyte from February champions only thing that matters is H&A results.

TW said in his press conference that we didn't tag (Polo did in 2nd half), we didn't have stratigies or a gameplan, he just wanted the boys to go out and play football. He wanted to see who could and who couldn't play. Then he said something along the lines of 'Now I know who can and who cannot' (Jackson/Knobel/Moore/Hartgian are in trouble).

u r the 1 who should be worried as a doggy supporter!!!!I would be very concerned if I was a Richmond fan. One would suggest that your season is over before it started!!!

I hate to put a downer on this but.......you belted the dogs pre-season last year and then got belted by us to the tune of 100+ points in round one. Does your 43 point loss to Geelong mean that you will lose your first round match by more this year?

You're right.......and I just noticed you are playing Carlton in the first round so you shouldn't lose by as much.

Why are you here and yes I do believe in what I said. I wasn't saying that we would have beat them if we had used a gameplan and so on, because the Cats are a very good side (Best VIC team, last year was a shocker). They'll make top 4 (look at the Ladder prediction thread on AFL Board, I put 'em 4th)

Murphy, Hahn, Grant, Darcy, Cooney, Morris, Eagleton, Street and Hargrave were absent from our team mate so get serious...
It is the NAB cup. Pleeeease!
At the home ground of a strong pumped up team, that last year showed they take this preseason competition very seriously.
What did we learn....we aren't going to be a top 4 team this year. Oh...yeah, we already knew that!
A year where these kids can take it to the next level and clean house on the ones that have had a couple of years and are not up to it. Hopefully that means finals this year and pushing into the 4 next! But one game means very little in the big scheme, even when the season starts proper, let alone the 1st NAB cup game.
