I'm sure his folks are very proud of him, and he is definitely a better footballer than me, but this bloke is simply not good enough at the highest level...I don't want to make him the scapegoat for our countless on-field deficiencies but I remain bewildered how he has got to this level with that dreadful disposal - he has endeavour and courage but that seems to be all he has and in todays game that won't take you too far. I've seen absolutely nothing that indicates he will be on the list beyond 2010 - he's a decent VFL player at best. I think he'd be an ideal NRL player.
Totally agree Hislop is ordinary very ordinary if they are serious about rebuilding him and Simmonds should be dropped straight away. Although he should be given time and I'm sure he will be Farmer has shown me nothing to suggest he's up to it either .

But happy to be proven wrong

While I know Post has only played 8 games and is very young, but it worries me that I have never seen him take an overhead mark.....this is very important if he is going to be a KPP
have you only seen him this year?

Agree he has struggled this year but last year his biggest asset was his marking ability.

You shouldn't really have learnt too much out of that game. Bulldogs can coast along virtually in neutral and still give us a pantsing. Hardwick needs much time before the output improves significantly and consistently. Stick with it!

Had to laugh at that ******** David King saying we are in so much trouble, and we have to bring in McMahon next week, and next year look at trading and drafting proven mature age players from other clubs. Seriously, what a tool.

You can tell he is from the Terry Wallace school of coaching
Yep, and a woman rang and had a go at him for bagging the crap out of us and not taking responsibility for his part in the debarked of the last five years. His response - Blamed the recruiting staff, because it doesn’t matter who the coach is, you can’t coach ordinary players. Talk about passing the buck.

But he is willing to take credit for the players that were drafted when he was at the Western Bulldogs?
He is an absolute disgrace.

We need to persist with Post, I'd rather see him out there than Polak to be honest.

No shortcuts, if we play youngsters for a majority of the year and they're still rubbish well at least we can say we gave them a decent opportunity, unlike Wallace.

I can't stand listening to Wallace, he is too arrogant to take any responsibility of what went wrong. Why doesn't he talk about his poor game plan? Im sure he cant blame the recruiting staff for that?

bloody wallace, I remember an article he penned in the HS where he blew wind up scott claytons clacker and then went on to suggest RFC was lucky they had Miller in charge...facts were TW had little idea on what a good footballer looked like, if he was 70k wringing wet and could run like the wind, he was the man, neevrmind if he could play or not:rolleyes:

Thats just right its a practice game. I dont understand what people see in Polo
Well we picked Farmer, Conners and Edwards ahead of him based on what? Practice match form.

Polo is the most underrated player at the club. Terry had something against him by all reports and played him out of position (when he did play him). Remember how good he was early on?

Much better option down back then Farmer and Titch.

yep we can be more competetive just by picking bigger bodies and better structure.
i keep going on about it but we will struggle to develop anything if we dont take care of these things.bigger bodies and better foot skills.

also think the inclusion of tuck cousins and foley will make a big difference.

im hoping at some stage second half of the yr maybe we look something like this.

b : connors - thursfield - mcguane.
hb: moore - post - dea.
c: collins - martin - deledio
hf: morton - riewoldt - astbury/griffiths
f: roberts - gourdis - cotchin
r: simmonds - tuck - foley.
int: vickery/browne - tambling - newman - edwards.
I like that team. Not sure about Tuck or Simmonds though. I take Graham now. At least he gets his hand to the ball at centre bounces. It's not like we'll be missing Simmonds work around the ground

i think you would without hesitation pick farmer who has struggled thus far but sheesh a bit of patience please, connors who is missing targets atm but is a good kick, tambling newman and i would give dea games in front of him as well.

i dont know if people can remember him as a junior but he was a mid hard at it good motor a big possesion winner with ordinary skills.he knew where to go to find it and had footy smarts. the big knock on him was his skills it is still the big knock on him.
to me hes in competition with jackson for the run with role thru midfield.he has the tools and grounding to do this job well.
out of the two i would take polo any day but in an ideal world i would look to off load both over the next couple of seasons.
