That's nice. From what the Port people have seen of Marlon Motlop (2007 National Draft pick 28) so far, we are very happy in getting him for Symes
Glad you guys have found another flashy player, will compliment your hard men, like Lonie, very well!

we beat 18 training cones....however we beat them well.
Dare I say it but has Craigy learnt the word "attack"
Mind you with Sellar there and not Welsh we can do it.
Imagine Sellar, Hentchel, Tippet and Goody in the forward line with Porps on the flank....
Yes, I dare say we were watching the same game.
No, I don't shit on people - that is a different website.
Can't agree that he had a VERY impressive leap; I think you are being VERY generous. Good luck to him though, with Clarke'y the ruck coach down there, I'm sure he'll find his leap.

Dont know too many stats, but our midfield probably dominated the clearences. Good signs for what it is worth.
Of the youngsters...
- Doughty played well, needs to.
Doughty a youngster at 28 (29 this season)?
Go to the North board, they are some sad bitter ****ers on there
Stick it up em Bob![]()

Apparently he made it fairly clear at the pre draft interview with Choco that he wasn't interested in playing for the PAFC so there was no point in drafting him. And on your last point, i would agree there is a lack of promising key forwards apart from probably J Westhoff (not sure why we drafted his brother), but Chaplin and Carlile will turn into handy key defenders.
agree.bollocks.
Our kids are good enough to take us to top four...seriouslyJust watched the game. Exciting stuff. Some thoughts.
Campbell - felt sorry for him because the split second hesitation he did with his first touch and got him holding the ball would have really knocked his confidence from the start. Was happy that NC kept giving him a heap of game time and I think he deserves to keep getting that time ove the next few weeks.
McLeod, Goodwin & Edwards - really confident that all 3 don't have to play much on the ball this year and all 3 will play both forward and back at stages.
Mackay - Looks a class act and must be kept given game time.
Burton - Will be very important for him to stay fit. He along with Gill and McGregor are important for 2 reasons. 1st being that it is important that we keep giving Sellar, Tippett, Jacky game time up there even if they get beaten a few times throughout the year. 2nd is we want to keep Bock at CHB.
Symes - Ready to play and compliments osme of our runners with his hard ball gets and just ability to find it.
Vince - Class class class. The great thing is he really knows his limitations. By that I mean he understands he is not the quickest midfielder (not slow by any means) but knows when and how to get rid of the ball. One example was when Thomas tackled him he was just clever in getting off a good handball and maybe also got a free kick.
Jacky, Sellar & Tippett - Need to wear shadeswhen talking about these boys so bright is their future. They just need to keep getting the opportunities and the club (and supporters for that matter) need to be patient and allow them to make mistakes. Because if they are, we will reap the rewards a lot earlier.
Moran - Really happy for him and his confidence. Would love to see how he goes up forward and down back over the next few weeks.
Knights - Is going to take the competition by storm. I really like the strength and power he has. He really showed in this game that he not only can recieve but can win the hard stuff. Just looks strong in legs and upper body.
Douglas - I really want him to do well beacuse his skills both hand and foot are sublime. He is another who just keeps needing ground time to keep is development on the right track.
I really do hope Otten, Gallman and Jericho get plent of game over the next few weeks as well.
It is great to see a win and after this game you start thinking gee lets give the top four a crack again. But I really do hope NC continues to develop develop develop. Even if it means losing a few and not making the finals beacuse next year and beyond will get better and better at a lot quicker rate.
agree.
he probably just didn't interview well to chocos specifications.
he was expecting port to pick him up, and he said as much in an interview, so i doubt he would have loud mouthed them and then expected them to pick him up.
ebert80 probably just has fifth hand information, chinese whisper style.
Sellar is bigger than J Brown at the same age. Minus the temperEdwards didn't get much game time. Probably because the youngens were doing so well! It's hard to believe Sellar is only 18 with that body! Very exciting prospect. And Ive already said I'd love to see Macca in the forward line... that slick handpass to Goody that resulted in a goal was priceless. What a nice luxury to be able to move both of these legends forward!
