Where are your runners??

You drop Rhyce Shaw, and bring in Burns - fair enough some would say.

However - where the hell is your run going to come from?

Wow - Marty Clarke, get ready son because apparently you've got a bit to do!

:thumbsu::thumbsu: Good luck Pies!~

Cook played a running HBF role last week.

There's also Clarke as you say, O'Brien, McCarthy, Cox, Swan, Pendles, Thomas... plenty of run there.

I'm talking run from the BACK half of the ground.

I'll pay O'B, perhaps Swan and Thomas...

But I'm NOT talking run from contests... as your list of players hints at.

Funnily enough Maxwell is right up there with Sean Rusling for speed. Go figure!

Running isn't a problem ATM.

Really? then why were Shaw and Thomas the only speedy line-breakers last week? Granted Leon is very quick but not quite the same type of run as those 2.
May survive vs StK but Shaw (or lack of Shaw) could be the difference vs Hawks

Yes I have to say, very sporting of the selectors to give you a better chance in this game!

Run from the back-half.....or anywhere on the ground, is only as good as the delivery of the footy. No good having a bloke run 40 yards and drop it straight onto the opposition's chest is it? Hence why Rhyce finds himself in the grand stand.

Harry provides loads of run. Cook is very quick. Maxwell can do it. Thomas is just obvious, Leon is just obvious. Goldsack can provide run. Swan when he plays behind the ball. Lockyer.

It's not your like your midfield or side is endowed with genuine pace.
Any midfield that includes the tough man dal santo really cant criticise anyone for anythng

Whenever Harry decides to 'run' and 'take guys on' i cringe to death. He gets caught 7/10 and is very lucky he's agile enough to twist out of trouble. I'd much rather he give it off to Marty or J-Mac.

lol.

Rhyce will learn from this, has pace to burn but cost us a few goals last week running over the ball and turning it over. No point in being blistering quick when u cost ur side goals.
Collingwood has pace plus the fact you look quick when you have the ball so just get your hands on it and its fine.
Expect Daisy to play a absolute blinder

My personal hope is that Thomas plays more minutes in the midfield. Then we won't lose the run from the back and through the middle, and the disposal will be improved.

Rhyce made too many mistakes in the first half for my liking last week - silly free kicks and turnovers. His second half was better though. His pace is his greatest asset but I think we have that covered and the Saints do not have pace to burn.

Logical out for mine although it does make the future for Rhyce a little grim IMO.

I don't like Rhys much as a player for the silly decisions he makes (although has played a handful of great games) but he DOES add line breaking runs to our game.

I think Quixote actually has a point. Whilst plenty have pace, only Rhys and Daisy (to a lesser extent Harry O and Marty) really smash the lines.

If only Rhys delivered a little better...
