Can we please keep the pants-wetting down to a dull roar?

The same people who complain about the players' lack of heart turn to water themselves when the first bad thing happens. Stiffen up petals, it wasn't that bad.

we need a recognised CHF... thats what is missing from the equation. We dont have another forward who can lead and consequencely we are kicking to our only recognised forward in Fev and the opposition knows this and gangs him.

Hence, 2-3 and sometimes 4 out on Fev...

We need someone else who can lead instead of Fev.

Absolutely agree Dramoth. I said this to my wife last night watching the game that the Eagles had, in some way, screwed Carlton over, by taking Kennedy. Now, I'm not saying Kennedy is the answer, but you needed a CHF and didn't have one last night. OK, Fisher will be a huge inclusion when he's back but you could do with a bigger body.

I have been absolutely furious for years about our recruiting & development of players!!!

Now look at our top draft picks we have got over the years (Kreuzer will be left out, as he hasnt played yet!)

All the players are going to be good players, but no way are they a top 2 draft pick!!

Murphy- Comes close, but would much rather pendelbury or Thomas from that draft!

Kennedy- Although he is gone Pendlebury or Thomas would have been better option!

Gibbs- Joel Selwood is so much better its not funny, Gibbs moves well, but is as soft as butter..

Walker, certainly not worthy of a top ten pick!! wrong decision again!!

Although these players will be good & very servicable, a waste of a top draft picks!

MOST other picks we have had has been very disappointing to say the least.. Giggs, Harlett, Bower, Jackson, Betts, Jamieson etcc are not league footballers..

Look at our arch rivals & as much as it pains me to say this, they are so much better in evry department, especially recruiting & Development!

Clarke (Rookie), Obrien (Rookie), Maxwell (Rookie), Goldsack (pick 68), Lockyer (Rookie), Swan (pick 54), Johnson (pick 72).. Al these players play regular finlas & have made an immediate impact... All are integeral part of the scums team!!

There ealry picks have also been spot on. All said Xavier Ellis was worth pick 2 & they went for thomas..insipired choice.. Then pendelbury was a pick 5 was also a surpirise but what a greta choice!! We get murphy & Kennedy & they are nowhere near to the level of those too!

Didak, Brown & Ried are all top 10 picks and all look the goods!!

Tarrant played up & was traded rightly so.. Fev has also many times & is still here!!!

We have alot of work to do as a club & we can get all the number one draft picks we like but that means NOTHING!!!
Hmm... Let me reply with Marc Murphy is easily the best from that draft and to suggest Thomas is a better choice you would have to have rocks in your head! Murph is already a gun and will only get better:thumbsu:
Bryce Gibbs - 19 years old playing his 2nd AFL season, give the kid a chance FFS:mad:
Andrew Walker - could have certainly used his run from defence and to suggest he is a wasted top 10 pick tells me you either don't watch much footy or just don't have a clue:eek: Would certainly pick him ahead of Sylvia, Ray, Tenace, Raph Clarke to name a few other top 10 picks that year:rolleyes:
Josh Kennedy - helped get Judd:thumbsu: Will be a very good player for the Eagles in years to come and was a better choice at the time than say Beau Dowler!
Michael Jamison, Ryan Jackson not rated as league footballers after one season:confused:
Jordan Russell aside, I'm pleased with recruits Kade Simpson (pick 45), Brad Fisher (72) Shaun Hampson (19), Jake Edwards (35), Jackson(rookie), Carrazzo(rookie), Jamison(rookie), Betts(rookie again) to name a few!!
Get a clue before posting next time:(

That said, going for a drop punt, especially for a right footer from that pocket (and doing it twice) is not very smart. Would have been much better served with a checkside.

I reckon he was in two minds. He has a pretty good left peg but was lacking confidence first time big stage.
checkside for first kick, but second a bit far out for that.
Strange night for me.Hoping he would kick it but also miss????

Frankly I find myself angry and flabbergasted that our overpaid bunch of primmadonnas aren't fit. FFS. What have they been doing for the past 6 months?
Welcome to the world of a Richmond supporter this time last year. Led by 27 points in the 3rd quarter only to lose by three goals.
Framkly, every team is fit at this stage. Clubs pay big bucks to get their suqads right.
I wouldn't worry about fitness.
Fact is, both sides showed appalling skill level and both sides folded under pressure (us in the 1st half, you guys in the 2nd half).
let's not kid ourselves. We woiuld have been belted by any other team int he comp last night.
We both have a lot of work to do.
One Blues supporter made a terrific comment on our board tonight.
He/she said that theyt hope both clubs get back to the 60s and 70s as being powerhouse and showing the rest of the comp what a real rivalry is.
I want to be hated again as a club. Not pitied like we are now.
I am very confident that in three years time, Carlton-Richmond games will be be eagerly anticipated by all footy followers, and not just for the Judd factor either.
Keep the faith Bluebaggers. We have for 27 years now and we won't be going anywhere. ;)

I see your frustration..

Foley
King
Thursfield

all rookie list recruits, whilst we too have %^$# up the top 10 picks at times...the point you made on selwood was a good one...they were talking about him for 2 years before he was drafted...did the knee and everyone went cold:eek:
