Chat about Wrsetlemania 34, i thought we might as well start a thread for our predictions, rumors & matches we would like to see.

Personally I am hoping for Strowman v Lesnar, HHH v Angle, Shane & Daniel Bryan v KO & Sami, AJ v Nakamura. I know Reigns v Lesnar has been planned for like a year now but i am hoping for something different.

Romanation will win and the crowd will be muted.

The M in WrestleMania is capitalised.

Entertainia you mean?

Fixed. People and purists rag on the term but god knows why. Was always sports entertainment really and nothing wrong with that. Problem today is little to nothing sporty about it anymore, nor are the conflicts and feuds presented/executed in any 'real' sort of way. NJPW is true sports entertainment. WWE is sterile, over produced, nonsensical, kiddy crap for the most part.

So true... But i still watch every week. I've been a fan for 27 years & no matter how much it shits me i cant stop watching.

SportsEntertainmentMania you mean?

I find it funny that people still seem to be upset or put off about this? They got rid of the word Wrestling a long time ago & have been publicly focused on "Family Entertainment".

Anyone else remember in the 90's when every show would start with "The world wrestling federation, The world wide leader in sports entertainment" hahaha

I'll have a crack at:

Lesnar v Reigns - Universal Title
Styles v Cena (Cena returns to win the Rumble) - WWE Title
Strowman v Triple H
Owens v S.McMahon
Rhonda Rousey to be involved in a multi woman tag match.
Nakamura to win the US title in a multiman ladder match.
Miz to be the IC champ again before the show and retain.

Nobody cares that it's called sports entertainment. WWE has called itself sports entertainment for decades. The problem is WWE is the biggest pile of s**t it's been in decades.

In 1995 it was very s**t. Ive enjoyed 2017

He's famous in wrestling, disgraced cheat in MMA and irrelevant in Hollywood. Lesnar ain't leaving.

OMG that guy can whinge. Its like he has only just figured out how wrestling works lol

Im not sure if that video gets any better but i could only stand 5 minutes of him.

Here's a Wrestlemania 34 Card I could see happening at this stage:

Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. Roman Reigns

  • Brock Lesnar continues his 'Reign of Terror' defending against Matt Hardy on an episode of Raw around the New Year & then Samoa Joe again at the Royal Rumble. Heyman teases a Nakamura/Lesnar match following the Royal Rumble, before Angle announces that Lesnar's challenger will come from the Elimination Chamber.
  • Roman Reigns is teaming with his Shield Brothers who face a new challenge from Sanity in the coming weeks. This includes Sanity costing Roman Reigns the I.C. title to Samoa Joe in a match on Raw. The unity and unpredictably of Sanity prevail over the Shield for a few weeks leading to a 3vs3 tag match at the Royal Rumble. Sanity win the match due to miscommunication between Rollins & Ambrose; Reigns enters the Royal Rumble but is eliminated by interference from Sanity. The Shield have a rematch against Sanity on a Main Event of Raw which The Shield win, then they shake hands with Sanity in a sign of respect to how hard they've fought (dual purpose-- turn Sanity face and end their attacks on Reigns). Reign's last chance to get his Wrestlemania main event (his destiny) is at Elimination Chamber (Reigns Vs. Strowman Vs. Samoa Joe Vs. Finn Balor Vs. John Cena Vs. Bray Wyatt. Reigns wins at Elimination Chamber and then continues to be dominant in the build up to the rematch that is 3 years in the making.

WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles (c) Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

  • Styles retains the title against Mahal at Clash of Champions, Randy Orton at Royal Rumble & defends against Zayn on episode of Smackdown in the lead up to Wrestlemania.
  • Nakamura wins the Royal Rumble while feuding with Zayn/Owens. Nakamura & Styles team up in the lead up to Wrestlemania. The two men go into the match with mutual respect, but both have a larger passion for the WWE Championship.

John Cena Vs. Braun Strowman
  • John Cena returns to Raw on the 25th Anniversary Show of Raw announcing that he wants his 17th World Title reign to be his first Universal Championship reign and he wants to defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Cena enters the Royal Rumble and is eliminated by Braun Strowman; Cena in retaliation attacks Strowman and costs him his involvement in the match.
  • Both men get a 'Second chance' at the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania in the Elimination Chamber match as mentioned above (Reigns/Strowman/Joe/Balor/Cena/Wyatt). John Cena pins Strowman after he takes finishers from all the other 5 men in the match. Following the pin Strowman gets angry and attacks Cena, leading to Cena's elimination.
  • On Raw the next night Cena comes out to talk about the problem when Strowman attacks him-- challenging Cena to a match at Wrestlemania. Cena responds and accepts a few weeks later after 'recovering from injuries' with Cena having to overcome the biggest beast he has ever faced in the WWE.

Battle for Control of Smackdown
Shane McMahon, Randy Orton & Bobby Roode Vs. Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

  • Over the next few weeks it will continue to appear that Daniel Bryan is 'punishing' Owens & Zayn for his actions at Survivor Series, but it's all a ploy to prevent Shane for firing them. This is revealed in the New Year on Smackdown when Bryan turns 'heel' siding with Owens & Zayn to stop the attacks. Bryan has spoken to Vince McMahon and has tried to get complete control of Smackdown as he has 'had enough' of how Shane treats Smackdown.
  • This feud goes back and forth over the next few months, until Vince McMahon arrives on Smackdown and announces that only ONE man can have control of Smackdown setting up a 6-man tag match that will represent Shane & Bryan at Wrestlemania-- with the winning team getting full control of Smackdown. Shane McMahon announces his team of himself, Orton & Roode. Bryan announces Owens, Zayn & a 'mystery 3rd man'. On the Smackdown before Wrestlemania Bryan reveals that the "3rd man is me... Daniel Bryan".
  • This is a 'safe' match to return Bryan to the ring by having him with reasonably safe workers and Owens/Zayn can wrestle most of the match.

'Loser Leaves Raw' Match
Triple H w/Stephanie McMahon Vs. Kurt Angle w/ Jason Jordan

  • In the lead up to the Royal Rumble Kurt Angle announces a Battle Royal on Raw for the "30th entrant in the Royal Rumble" which is won by his son Jason Jordan. This episode of Raw ends with Angle & Jordan celebrating together in the ring.
  • The following week on Raw Triple H comes out on behalf of Stephanie McMahon and says that the result is 'invalid' as Angle didn't have the authority to decide who was the 30th entrant. Kurt Angle gets heated at this decision, saying that he has had enough of being an Authority figure that doesn't have full control prompting him to quit on Raw.
  • Kurt Angle returns as part of the Royal Rumble as an active competitor and faces off against Triple H face to face in the ring during the match. Triple H eliminates Kurt Angle, only for Jason Jordan to eliminate Triple H.
  • Triple H states that Kurt Angle doesn't have a 'performers contract' and shouldn't be on Raw. Jason Jordan challenges Triple H to a match at Elimination Chamber where if Jason Jordan wins; Kurt Angle is an active part of Raw. Jason Jordan wins at Elimination Chamber through help from Kurt Angle.
  • Triple H is furious that Angle has been returned to Raw as a performer and wants him to leave, putting up his own place on Raw in a 'Loser leaves Raw' match for Wrestlemania.
  • During the Wrestlemania match Triple H wins after Jason Jordan 'crosses' his father; joining Triple H in an "New Authority" and Kurt has to leave Raw-- only to appear on Smackdown in the coming months.

U.S. Championship Match
Baron Corbin (c) Vs. Big E w/ Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston

  • The New Day is continued to be pushed as legitimate top-level stars on Smackdown in the coming months, including all three appearing in the Royal Rumble. The New Day continues to be a unit, despite not fighting in the tag team division. In the build to Wrestlemania Baron Corbin has U.S. Championship matches against Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston that Corbin wins through 'heel tactics'. Due to the 'heel tactics' Shane McMahon provides the New Day with another chance as a stable to win the U.S. Championship match, with the New Day deciding Big E should face Corbin at Wrestlemania.
  • Corbin will continue to win Singles matches, but struggle any time he is forced to team up with anyone on Smackdown (Owens/Zayn, Rusev, Mark Bennett for example) because he is a 'Lone Wolf' who doesn't play well with others. This will become his downfall as he has to battle against the unified force that is The New Day.

Seth Rollins Vs. Dean Ambrose
  • Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose are aligned with Roman Reigns in the Shield and struggle to fight off the battle with Sanity over the New Year due to some miscommunication between the two. Rollins & Ambrose try to stick together and even defeat Sanity on an episode of Raw. After this victory they plan to re-win the Raw Tag titles from Sheamus & Cesaro. The two teams have a match at Elimination Chamber, which Sheamus & Cesaro win when Rollins is pinned. Ambrose is furious that they lost the match.
  • On the following Raw Ambrose & Rollins are in the ring-- appearing to want to challenge Sheamus & Cesaro again when Ambrose's microphone 'stops working'. Ambrose leaves the ring while Seth Rollins continues to speak, when Ambrose comes back in the ring instead of a new microphone in his hand he has a Steel chair which he uses to hit Rollins in the back (call back to the original Shield break up). Ambrose turns heel on Rollins and leaves him lying in the ring.
  • Rollins has two weeks off before returning to attack Ambrose and they set up a Wrestlemania match between the two.
Battle of the Horsewomen
Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley Vs. Ronda Rousey, Shayna Basler, Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke

  • At the Royal Rumble we have a Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley Vs. Alexa Bliss Raw women’s title match. During that match the MMA Horsewomen interference and attack Banks & Bayley, leaving Bliss in the ring for a count out victory. The MMA Horsewomen are lead by Rousey & Basler. Sasha Banks & Bayley challenge Rousey & Basler for a match at Elimination Chamber, but before it starts Shafir & Duke attack Banks & Bayley causing them to come out 'hurt'. Banks & Bayley are joined at ringside by Charlotte & Lynch and the two teams brawl around ringside instead of having the Elimination Chamber match.
  • This feud continues through promos, in-ring segments and 'segues' across both Raw & Smackdown in the build up to Wrestlemania but none of the MMA women will actually wrestle in a WWE ring until Wrestlemania.
'Broken' Matt Hardy Vs. Bray Wyatt
  • The current version of Matt Hardy goes on a winning streak throughout December on Raw; appearing as an unlikely candidate to face off against Brock Lesnar in a Universal Championship match on the 25th Anniversary Special of Raw. Matt Hardy is beaten from pillar to post in this match by Brock Lesnar and becomes 'Broken'. (They are saying in rumors that the 'Broken' trademarks will be available by January)
  • This 'Broken' process occurs throughout backstage segments over the next 6-8 weeks, with Matt Hardy's next in ring appearance being at Elimination Chamber. Matt Hardy defeats a lower mid card heel at Elimination Chamber; most likely Elias. Over the coming weeks on Raw the 'Broken Universe' starts to be explored further, saying that he recognizes only one other as his equal on Raw- Bray Wyatt
  • This is similar to the Bray Wyatt Vs. Finn Balor feud in that Wyatt has to deal with someone who is equally trying to play mind games with him as he is with them. During this match we see the return of 'Brother Nero' (Jeff Hardy) who helps Matt Hardy defeat Bray Wyatt.
Raw Women's Championship Match
Alexa Bliss (c) Vs. Asuka

  • Alexa Bliss retains the title in the lead up to Wrestlemania, against Sasha & Bayley at the Royal Rumble and Paige at Elimination Chamber. Bliss is made to look strong, but has yet to face off against Asuka.
  • Asuka continues her winning streak on Raw, going through most of the Raw women’s roster in the build up to this match. Her main feud prior to this is against Paige's new group; giving Asuka 3 opponents to beat over consecutive episodes of Raw. IF there is a Women’s Royal Rumble Asuka would be the winner to continue to build her winning streak.
6-Man Tag Match
Sanity (Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain) Vs. Finn Balor, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows

  • As mentioned above Sanity debuts in December/January in a feud against The Shield. During this feud Sanity is also attacking other members of the roster; including Finn Balor. Once Sanity finish off with the Shield, there is a ‘respect’ face turn, similar to that of the Uso’s after the Uso’s/New Day feud on Smackdown.
  • Finn Balor is frustrated that he is continually missing out on Universal Championship opportunities (losing at the Royal Rumble & Elimination Chamber), Finn decides to let his frustrations out on Roman Reigns to end an episode of Raw in the build up to Wrestlemania where Finn teams up with his old ‘Club’ buddies in Anderson & Gallows to cause a 3-on-1 attack.
  • As the Shield is no longer together there is only ONE trio on Raw that is able to stop Balor & ‘The Club’ from attacking talent at will; the unpredictable Sanity.
Smackdown Women’s Title Match
Lumberjill Match
Carmella (c) Vs. Nikki Bella

  • Carmella uses the Money In the Bank contract to win the title from Charlotte following a beat down on Charlotte by the MMA 4 horsewomen. As Charlotte is ‘distracted’ by the Horsewomen battle, No.1 contenders Battle Royal is held on Smackdown for the Women’s title.
  • Nikki Bella would be a surprise return to Smackdown to win the Battle Royal with her storyline focusing on it being a year since she last wrestled—Carmella would say that Nikki is past it and she’s part of the ‘old era of Diva’s; while Nikki would focus on her being fearless and able to transcend the era.
  • I could see this match being a Lumberjill match to get the other Smackdown women onto the PPV (Naomi, Natalya, Tamina, Lana, Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan) and would be an interesting dynamic as both Carmella & Nikki has history with some of these women. It also fits into a potential ‘Total Divas’ storyline.

That is 12 matches, being across 4 hours that will definitely fill the Wrestlemania 34 Card. Then obviously there is still plenty of talent missing off of the card so the following matches would be on the pre-show

Andre The Giant Battle Royal
Rusev, Jinder Mahal, Samoa Joe, Sheamus, Cesaro, Big Cass, Elias, Titus O’Neil, Apollo Crews, Goldust, R-Truth, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Curt Hawkins, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, Zack Ryder, Mojo Rawley, Mike Bennett, Aiden English, Tye Dillinger & Sin Cara

  • Generic Andre The Giant Battle Royal to fit the rest of the male talent onto the Wrestlemania card, even if it is the pre-show. My prediction would be that Rusev would be the winner of this years Battle Royal leading to him being built up for feuds with Styles & Nakamura over the following months.
Cruiserweight Championship Match
Enzo Amore (c) Vs. Hideo Itami

  • Enzo is the cruiserweight champion and doing a great job of it personally. Hideo Itami is the 'Hottest Free Agent signing' going to 205 Live. 205 Live has a reasonably thin roster so it makes sense for these two to face off at Wrestlemania
Smackdown Tag Championship Match
The Uso’s (c) Vs. Breezango Vs. The Ascension Vs. Bludgeon Brothers

  • I think one set of tag titles should be on the Wrestlemania card and the Smackdown side has a much deeper Tag team roster. The Uso’s are the best team in the WWE at the moment and the other three teams are all featured in the ‘Fashion Files’ segments on Smackdown. Match is reasonably short, but it gives Smackdown another match to hype for their brand at Wrestlemania and all the teams can be entertaining.

Before anyone asks I’ve deliberately left The Miz off of the card as I think the WWE will allow him to take paternity leave following filming The Marine 6 and I doubt we will see much of The Miz in the first half of 2018.
