YSE V Hoppers Crossing - Semi Final from last Sunday 7th September.
Last half video now on YouTube.

YSE got away from HC early on in the game and led by 31 point at half time.
HC went up a gear in the 3rd and started pegging the lead back to be only 8 points down at 3/4 time.
The last quarter was a nail biting affair with HC hitting the front and then YSE getting the lead back late in the quarter and hanging on. Great game of footy and a great venue.

I don’t think you are right, if you watched any of the Newport games you would know that Nayef is a genuine star and he did it in the EDFL too. Maybe time to re-check the definition of “right”

Hoppers won the 2024 flag from 5th, can they win it from the Elimination Final again?

They've won the Elimination Final already last week v a disappointing Spotswood who beat Hoppers comfortably only 3 weeks ago. Tick.

I think they'll beat a fragile YSE in the 1st Semi on Sunday, just something missing at YSE for mine.

That leaves only CS and WD in their way. Hoppers wont t start favourites against YSE or the big 2 but that didn't stop them in 2024.

Interesting to ponder.

Was a great 2nd semi last week WD v CS,, a game where both sides were on top at various stages. Hoping for a similar GF.

Sunshine v Newport in the 18s GF who would have thought that 5 years ago? Sunshine didn't have 18s back then and Newport were in D2 of the 18s.

What a disgusting end to the under 18s game. Regardless of what happens on the field during the game, the Newport spectators incited and created that ugly display. How the league allows them to continuously bring a bad name to our league astonishes me. Multiple fights in the crowds at their games, kids running riot and stealing from away teams rooms, numerous reports of inappropriate sexual comments to female umpires, and a lot more. Where does it end.

The whole thing caught on the live stream too and watch not a single repercussion for Newports number 14 who ran directly into the Sunshine team as they were trying to seperate and walk off the field and restarted the whole thing.

Yeah absolute shocking. 14 has to be in big trouble for that, his family all trying to hold him back and still ran in. Watching grown men punching young and being involved in fighting. Have to kick them out

I can fully respect that BOTH Sunshine and Newport players may had handled situations in the game poorly but that is not what my main issue is. My issue is with the Newport spectators who think it’s appropriate to hurl abuse and threaten kids, to make inappropriate comments to women who are spectating or umpiring the game, and to mob and attack opposition spectators.

Vision from today also clearly only sees Newport Players and Spectators in the wrong so please provide some sort of evidence to back your opinion otherwise your defence is pointless.
