Went and watched two very interesting and great games of Division 2 footy this weekend.

I can’t get my head around Wyndhamvale losing that game yesterday. Well done to the Devils for sticking with them and capitalizing on the falcons missed opportunities.

Today’s game was a much better spectacle. Better weather, highish scoring. Two former division 3 teams putting on a cracking game of footy.

Next weeks prelim should be a good game between West and Wyndhamvale.

How was the ground Saturday, shocking wet and windy day for footy but wondering if the ground conditions contributed to the low scoring? Yarraville was (still?) Notorious for becoming a bog very quickly.

Wyndhamvale will be wary returning to Yarraville again this week, doubt that was in their plans. Twice in a row North have beaten the Vales. Only side to beat them.

West are capable but surely the Vales can get over them. What a disaster it would be for the Vales if they fell over again after such a dominating season.
 
Watched both games. Bit of class difference between the two finals. Couldn’t believe how bad of condition the ground was in on Saturday. Congrats to Nth Footscray. Think both teams would agree they could use the ball better but that was as tough and hard a final as you will see with players throwing themselves into contests. Wyndhamvale will have some sore bodies into the final this week.

Hello. Over the next 3 weeks I'm going to watch and film Preliminary Finals and Grand Finals games in the WFNL and NFNL.

I would ask you what day and time the game is on to see if I can attended BUT in the past I have been stopped from filming EDFL games. I actually got kicked out twice - once by a security guard at Windy Hill and once by the actual CEO of the EDFL at Coburg Oval. Can you believe it !!!! They don't like me filming their games. I can't understand why - I don't broadcast live and I try to present their games in a positive way but they don't like it.

Thanks for responding if that’s what happened then that is appalling behaviour from the EDFL hierarchy. The game is on at 10.00 am at Greenvales ground on Saturday 6/9. It would be great if you could film it but if you can’t I understand.

Probably have been the best side all season but North have beaten WV the last 2 times they have met.

Think WV might scrape home but doubt North will get beaten by a lot.
 
Who's winning this weekend? Think it will be a cracking grand final. We've had some good ones in Div 2 in the last few years

I'm tipping NF in a close one this weekend.

You're right about some rippa GFs over the last few years. There was last year's GF - Albion undefeated all year and lost a tough hard fought game to Sunshine when we had four season in one day including a hail storm.

Then there was the ultimate GF rippa the year before in 2023 where Parkside snatched the lead on the last goal and last kick of the day. Here's my video of the LAST 5 MINUTES of that epic and unforgettable event to get you in a Grand Final mood for the weekend.

Great Saturday of Seniors, Reserves and U18s Grand Finals in the WFNL Division 2 competition.
Thanks to the WFNL for putting on a great show with the pre-game and post-game formalities as well as the actual games.
Here's my video of the seniors GF (last half plus pre and post game scenes) won by the Wyndhamvale Falcons who had a great turnout of supporters. Enjoy.
